Answer:	the dehumidifier runs according to the percentage of humidity you have it set for then turns off when reached. It maintains this automatically.

Answer:	There is a removable plastic filter that needs to be washed with soapy water and dried periodically. It’s designed to be permanent, I believe. There is a reminder light on a timer that says “FILTER” when cleaning is needed. The light goes on after 250 hours of operation. Answer:	The part number is 12100510000015. If you google the part number you'll find a few places that sell it for about $2 + shipping. Amazon has the part listed but says it's not available.
