Question: | Can you fit cycling sunglasses through the vents |
Answer: | Kevin, It doesn't work for me. As a comparison, I recently bought Sena R1 bluetooth helmets to allow communications between me and my wife. The Sena R1 does allow for my sunglasses to rest in the top vents when off in the usual upside down position. Not so with my Giro Isode MIPS helmet. That aside, the Giro is a comfortable and reliable MIPS helmet. |

User questions & answers
Question: | How is the giro fixture different than this model the giro chronicle? thanks in advance for your reply |
Answer: | Yes the visor is adjustable level to upwards |
Question: | Can you adjust the visor |
Answer: | I emailed giro about this and they said it's the same helmet with different colors. |
Question: | How is Cartelle model different from Chronicle? They appear exactly the same |
Answer: | Most helmet experts will tell you: there's fit and there's comfort. It seems obvious, but in some ways they're opposed. Example: a sure sign the fit is bad is if the helmet flops around on your head or shifts right or left when you make a sudden move. That said, a loose-fitting helmet is pretty comfortable. On the other hand, if a helmet is too snug, it will hurt within minutes of wearing it, and you won't want to put it on the next time you go riding. I have a big noggin (60cm) that's long front-to-back, and Giro is a very comfortable fit with those dimensions. That said, I'm glad I have a Large, because any 'play' in the fit is eliminated, because Giro has a really nice 'twist-down' ratchet system that encloses the inner part of the helmet snugly to your head. My instinct is to get the Large and twist it down. I hope that helps!. |
Question: | My head is exactly 59cm, should I get a M or L helmet |
Answer: | This is a XL sized helmet, and yes it should fit to 63cm |

User questions & answers
Question: | What does the back of the helmet look like? a review states that it doesn't have an led like the website picture |
Answer: | No. The brim is attached to the padding. Unless you wear the helmet without the front padding |
Question: | is the brim removable |
Answer: | Yes, I own this helmet and the brim is similar to a baseball hat brim, and IS DEFINITELY easily removeable -- it is just held in place with a velcro-like system. |
Question: | is the brim removable |
Answer: | Not only is it unisex, but Giro's helmet sizing is the same for M and F. They just don't make a L in the women's specific helmets |
Question: | Is this helmet more for a male or female, in terms of size |
Answer: | Hola Carlos, I have no idea about the differences between those helments, the Giro Chronicle MIPS MTB I wear is the first one I use for riding my bicycle. User questions & answers
Question: | Is this a men's helmet |
Answer: | The Giro Synthe MIPS Equipped Bike Helmet listed by Active Life Store is the current year's model - 2017. |
Question: | Which model year is this helmet |
Answer: | No. The BMC helmet is also a red\black helmet, but will have "BMC" in the title. Same for the Katusha helmet. (I believe the latter is much more red than the other two) |
Question: | So we've established it's a 2017 with MIPS. Last question :-) Is it the BMC Team helmet |
Answer: | No, I don’t think you can |
Question: | can i add sunvisor on my helmet |
Answer: | As of now, the Cormick does not come with a rear light. New this Spring season, Giro is bringing out two optional Rear Vent Light to attach to many of the cycling helmets. Be watching for their debut; Mountain/Urban Vent Light SKU 7117709 or the Sport Rev Vent Light SKU 7117710. |

User questions & answers
Question: | The picture of the color scheme matte black/true price 2020 does not match the Giro web site. There is no bright green along the back of the helmet |
Answer: | The version with the visor is the Artex. You can also order a visor, as it simply clips into the vent holes in front |
Question: | Are the straps adjustible on the side, below the ears |
Answer: | The main differences are: 1. The shape itself: -Syntax, for a mid-premium helmet, has more vents than Agilis, so it gives cooler effect and a bit of aerodynamic style. -Agilis however, with a price below Syntax, gives a combining shape of Giro Synthe from the front view, and a bit of MTB's helmet from the back. With lighter weight, somehow i like better Agilis rather than Syntax (personally). 2. The weight: -Agilis size Medium weight about 280 gr (based on my personal purchase). -Syntax, size Large weight about 312 gr (based on my personal purchase). Both type offer Mips as safety standard feature. Hope this might help. |
Question: | Will the visor pivot up or down a bit |
Answer: | 58.42cm which is a medium according their chart. |
Question: | Does it have Giro guarantee |
Answer: | The sticker inside the Helmet says 330 grams. I did measure with a digital OXO kitchen scale. It weights 346 grams (12 1/4 oz) - Large Size. |
