PRESTA & SCHRADER COMPATIBLE

Designed to work with threaded Presta & Schrader tire valve types. Our inflator head uses a clever ‘universal’ head design, which requires no additional attachment. The force of the gas expelled from the inflator head forces the tire valve open.

For Presta valves with removable cores, extra care should be taken to tightly screw the core into the valve stem so it’s nice and 'snug' - you can either use pliers or a valve core tool to tighten the core. This process is the same when using this type of valve with any type of bike pump or CO2 inflator. Presta valves with 'removable cores' are primarily designed if you use valve extenders or use a tire sealant such as 'slime’. The CO2 inflator is not compatible with valve extenders.

LASTING INFLATION OR QUICK FIX?

One important thing to remember with a CO2 inflator is that it’s only a get-home remedy for a puncture. As CO2 gas dissipates through an inner tube over time, you need to re-inflate your tire with air from a pump when you’re back home. As such if you’re touring or bike packing, one of our mini bike pumps is the optimal choice.

For a 'fat tire', I'd suggest using a 25g threaded CO2 cartridge which will deliver about 7.5 psi, alternatively, you could use two threaded 20g cartridges, one 20g cartridge will deliver 5 psi for a fat tire. Please note the inflator head is universal fit so it will work with any standard size threaded CO2 cartridge (12, 16, 20 & 25g), however, the foam sleeve only fits a 16g cartridge. I hope this helps. Alternatively you can use a larger size CO2 cartridge as the inflator head is universal fit, although the foam sleeve is just designed for 16g. Question:	will this retain C02 on a partial fill so that you could use it another day
Answer:	That would depend on how far down the road "another day" is. You be the guinea pig and give us an up-date in a week/month/year. Lol I've worked with valves and seals/O-rings all my life and even if the manufacture said that it does I wouldn't trust it. Given the limited space we have to carry things on our bikes and the minimal cost of CO-2 (16 gram for about $1.50) I want to be sure the ones I carry are full. I average almost 2,000 miles a year between my 3 bikes,,, I hate flats,,,, my solution (3 years ago) was to buy Hi-End flat resistant tires and I haven't had to fix a flat (away from the house) since,,,, I did use my Brisk More once in the garage just to make sure it works, it's kind of spendy, but it works great and is a real space saver,,, carry it in a zip-lock bag to keep dust out of the internals.

Answer:	Yes! This comb gets out everything! After a month of battling lice in my daughter's hair, we purchased this comb and haven't had a problem since. Answer:	It will probably hold pressure for a while but I wouldn't count on it indefinitely. The "inflator" valve works well and should not leak. The inflator itself threads onto the CO2 cartridge so it is securely held in place but the thread does not seal. As a result, you are relying on the spike in the inflator to be sealed tightly enough against the metal surface on top of the cartridge that the spike punctures to hold pressure. As I said, that may work for a while but I wouldn't count on it long term.
Question:	Does this work with 20gram cartridge
Answer:	I have five of these, and love them. The CO2 cartridge twists on, and the inflation portion of the other end just ‘slips’ over the valve, then twist the control valve in the other side and inflate as needed. Usually takes almost one 16 gram cartridge for MTN and cyclocross, and almost the same amount for road tubes. Don’t forget to empty CO2 from tube when you get home and refill with air.

Answer:	It may take several cartridges (6) to inflate a 180/55-17 motorcycle tire to about 23 psi. Enough maybe to get you home.

The X-Small CO2 Inflator Head will fit a threaded 20g CO2 cartridge, although the rubber foam sleeve that it comes with will only fit 16g CO2 cartridges. Here's a suggestion of when either tool is most suitable:

CO2 Inflator: for a race, group ride, gran frondo or timed event.

Bike Pump: for commuting, bike packing, touring or leisure riding.

PRESTA & SCHRADER COMPATIBLE

Designed to work with threaded Presta & Schrader tire valve types. Our inflator head uses a clever ‘universal’ head design, which requires no additional attachment. The force of the gas expelled from the inflator head forces the tire valve open.

For Presta valves with removable cores, extra care should be taken to tightly screw the core into the valve stem so it’s nice and 'snug' - you can either use pliers or a valve core tool to tighten the core. This process is the same when using this type of valve with any type of bike pump or CO2 inflator. Presta valves with 'removable cores' are primarily designed if you use valve extenders or use a tire sealant such as 'slime’. The CO2 inflator is not compatible with valve extenders.

LASTING INFLATION OR QUICK FIX?

One important thing to remember with a CO2 inflator is that it’s only a get-home remedy for a puncture. As CO2 gas dissipates through an inner tube over time, you need to re-inflate your tire with air from a pump when you’re back home. As such if you’re touring or bike packing, one of our mini bike pumps is the optimal choice.
