Product features
Secure it once and done
The fly of the tent is made from 100% water-resistant polyester. Therefore, it doesn’t have to be retightened, once it has gotten wet. That ensures a high durability and a longer lifetime of the product. This fabric is so light that it can be carried in a backpack easily throughout longer tours.
More living space
The innovative zone pre-bend construction creates vertical walls up to shoulder height for a roomier sleeping area and extra head room. Therefore, several people can sit comfortably and uprightly in the tent.
Practical entrance and exit
You can enter the Marmot Limelight through a super-sized double door and a rear D-shaped door. This way it’s possible to enter and exit the tent without disturbing your friends or family. You can also use one of the vestibules over the doors to store cooking items dry and easily accessible. When not needed the doors can be stuffed completely into the interior pockets.
Lights up the darkness
The slightly dimming lamp shade pocket at the roof of the tent securely holds a headlamp, providing ambient light without it getting in the way or blinding you. Ideal for reading, relaxing or sitting out the bad weather.
Resists bad weather conditions
The seam-taped, catenary-cut floor prevents water from flowing into the tent, even if it’s standing on a slight incline. For an even better protection against dirt and wetness, a footprint to lay underneath is included.
Pleasant climate
Vents on the roof and sides of the tent enable good air circulation – no matter how the weather is outside. This reduces condensation inside the tent, and allows it to remain dry between the outer and inner layers.
Everything safely stored
Thanks to integrated pockets, small items can easily be stored. This allows you to reach them when needed instead of rummaging through your backpack or losing them in you sleeping bags.
Quick set-up
The set-up of the tent is done in minutes, thanks to strategic clip placement and colour coded “easy pitch” clips, poles and fly. The canopy just needs to be attached to the poles and the fly tightened above – done.

User questions & answers
Question: | Does this tent come with a rain fly |
Answer: | The orange is okay . It has good ventilation if you open both sides. |
Question: | So is this an acutal tent or a rifle case. Because i ordered a tent from Brilliant Green and got a rifle bag |
Answer: | I don't think it would be my first choice when climbing Everest or on a icy subzero night. The open mesh top under the fly would allow too much heat to escape. But I would choose it for almost any other condition. I love this tent. |
Question: | What is the packed weight? What is the dimensions of the floor |
Answer: | It fits my single cot very well but wouldn't handle 2 of them. However, my cot is somewhat wider than usual, so there's the possibility yours would work. Try measuring your cot and compare to the stated width of the tent. The sides are pretty much vertical, so the floor width should tell you. |
Question: | How is a tent unisex? What the F is that suppose to mean? One day it's a boy, the other, i dunno |
Answer: | I cannot say w 100% certainty. My experience is that packed weight includes everything. The lightest weight given is always for fast pitch setup of fly over open ground or fly over footprint. Min trail weight does not include the footprint. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Will a queen air matress fit |
Answer: | Very easily packed in my 45 L bag however I bungied it on the outside of my backpack! Very lightweight for the size tent it is. |
Question: | how much does it weigh |
Answer: | If I understand your question correctly I’d say yes it could be done. There is nothing to connect the rain fly to the poles but the footprint has it’s own connectors to snap in with the rain fly and poles then the poles would just free stand with the rain fly over them. Also the poles are one piece connecting at the top so I’d think even in a strong wind this set up would work. |
Question: | Does this tent come with the mesh gear loft |
Answer: | It's a quick fix if you bend (but do not break) a pole. It's a sleeve that goes over a damaged pole to reinforce it short term. You hope you never need it. |
Question: | Does this include a footprint |
Answer: | Been using my footprint man years. First advantage pine needle and tree sap not on your tent bottom thus cleaner tent and less messy rolling up to store in pack. Always the risk of some sharp objects to cut you tent or damage the waterproofing. BUT last and best make your own. Buy and thicker plastic sheeting HomeDepot, set up tent over clear or black plastic then with marker trace around tent base with pie pan circles around peg point with duct tape reinforcing where pegs go in. Cut out and set up that ground cover with pegs before you set up tent to know how much room and orientation you will need/want. Pennies on the dollar to make you own and more convenient to set up tent at sites. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Does this version of the tent have a “bathtub” floor to keep water out |
Answer: | The carrying bag was so poorly made it failed the first trip. Sent this back for a refund. |
Question: | Is this tent suitable for one person backpacking |
Answer: | if you bring a light with you into the tent at night you can see shadows of the the person inside, have to place the light strategically to avoid a personal "reveal' |
Question: | Can a California king mattress fit in this ? Also how tall is it inside |
Answer: | Not just from the sun in my experience. At night with a light on inside the privacy tent, depending on placement of the light you can see the silhouette of a person. |
Question: | What's a footprint |
Answer: | We are seniors also and just bought this. There are several you tube videos besides just the green elephant one. All of these type of pop up tents fold the basically the same way, so the other video's are also useful. Try this search: "Folding a portable toilet tent" You can pause and rewatch, etc. People seem to have different methods of getting the folding process started. There are a few tricks in these videos but once you figure out how the pieces sort of automatically fold "on top of each other" in layers of 3 round stacks one on top of the other, it's pretty easy, (like a car shade). Good luck. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Will this pack nicely on a bike for a bikepacking trip? Had anyone used this for that purpose |
Answer: | Yes it should but marmot provides the internal dimensions on their websites so doublecheck as queen size air mattresses dimensions vary. There is more than enough headroom to allow for a mattress certainly. |
Question: | Will it fit a pair of military style cots inside |
Answer: | The tent and bag with poles/pegs together weight 6.6 lbs. |
Question: | Does this model have the 150D polyester floor |
Answer: | No, Marmot no longer provides a gear loft with the Limelight series of tents. But they do sew in the loops that allow you to add a gear loft. I bought the Limelight 3 person tent and simply added a Kelty gear loft for $15. It's a nice loft with a large flat area and two pockets that hang down which are perfectly sized for eyeglasses. It weighs almost nothing and has elastic loops to adapt to different size tents. It fits the 3P Limelight perfectly. I'd imagine it will be fine in the 2P Limelight as well. After having a gear loft in a tent, I'm a huge fan. It keeps small items out of the way but close at hand and visible. Marmot provides a couple of side pockets on the tent but they are dark in color and you can't easily see if anything is in them. I'm always worried I'll leave something in there and pack it up with the tent. With the gear loft, it's really easy to see what you've left up there. |
Question: | Is this the 2018 model |
Answer: | Yes, we ship it with the footprint. |

Product description
The Trestles 30 Sleeping Bags are roomy, mummy-style synthetic bags that perform in cool and damp conditions thanks to SpiraFil high-loft insulation. The unique blend of large, spiral hollow fibers and small polyester fibers provides the exceptional warmth, softness, and compressibility of natural down while increasing moisture resistance. The Trestles are also EN rated as comfortable for men at a lower limit of approximately 30 degrees Fahrenheit. They feature a dual-zipper design: a full-length anti-snag main zipper, plus a second fold-down zipper for added ventilation and easy access. The anatomically shaped footbox minimizes heat buildup and gives you plenty of room to wiggle your toes, flex your feet, and find a comfy sleeping position. The top portion is built for maximum loft and warmth, the bottom portion retains a blanket-like feel for all-night comfort, and the 3D hood can be adjusted to optimize heat retention. Rounding out these excellent bags: an interior stash pocket, “feely” draw cords, dual hang loops, and an included stuff sack that compresses for convenient packability.
