We have another Coleman with a steeper slope, and so the water flows off the rain-fly before it can wick through the material (It stood up to a downpour last night). Any of these tents where you have a flat rain-fly above a screen, I believe you will have this problem. I suppose you could spray the entire rainfly with the waterproofing spray recommended for the seams? I'm not sure how much this would cost though.We are likely to go for the Coleman Evanston 8 (non-screen porch version). The only part of the rainfly that is flat is the front overhang above the ground. There is a good 3-star review under the Coleman Evanston 8 by Jeff042479 which describes the waterproofing process for these Coleman tents.Hope that helps. Good luck. |

After only 3 years the fabric was worn and fragile. We set it up early summer and took it down in the fall so we did get 3 good seasons out of it but we expected more. |

| Answer: | I am not sure! I have not tried that. But I think both the solid walls and screen walls just hook to the canopy so it may be possible. One thing we have done is to fold down the upper portion of the solid wall.. Kind of nice to corral dogs, let in some wind, etc. |

| Answer: | Yes, It does work. However, the corners are semi-opened. This walls attached with elastic clips, so there is a thin gap in each leg, which allows air to flow. If you buy the canopy, it comes with just one wall. |

| Answer: | IF it is the eaved 13 x 13 which actually has a foot print of 10 x 10, then yes it will work just fine, this is what I have and it works. The outer dimensions of the actual canopy are 13 x 13, but the support pole (legs) are at 10 x 10, an the sun wall attaches to the legs. |

| Answer: | The 4 person will accommodate 2 cots, but touches the tent on both ends due to the tapering of the tent. The dimensions are measured at floor level. The gear storage bags will hang on top of you while sleeping on the cot and can feel a little claustrophobic at times. I would recommend the 6 person size to comfortably accommodate 2 cots. |

| Answer: | Hello, user of this tent here during a rainy weekend. It doesn't - there's a netting between the main tent floor and the porch area to drain the water, but rainwater ends up pooling on the porch tarp anyways because unless you pitch the porch leaning down on a hill, there's no way to make the water actually flow outward. The only way you'd avoid this is if you poked holes in the porch, or brought along one of those shower mats that have the holes in them. For me, this resulted in an eternal puddle that never ended up drying, and a muddy and filthy porch area after camping. Furthermore, the screened in area isn't...actually screened in. There are two 6 inch gaps on the corners between the tent and porch for passing a cable through that don't have zippers, which means that not only is it not actually insect proof, but you also can't leave the tent door unzipped to get additional ventilation from the porch because the holes will let mosquitos in. The porch area is the exact opposite of a selling point in this scenario... |
