Answer:	Yes, very waterproof. My husband used it to go deer hunting in a downpour, so it was a good test of the waterproofing. He discovered it is a summer tent, with great ventilation, which he didn't want in a winter storm. It was barely large enough for him or two smaller children. It sets up easily too.

I just opened it again last night for the first time in years and set it up in my lockdown back garden which is on the ground (more like sand here on the equator) to have a spontaneous outside camping night. Well next to being virtually in a new bought state with no discoloration, or time induced damage the tent was virtually dustless .. I can know as I have severe allergies and hayfever. I swear it also rooted the weeds that were growing and sweeped the back porch clean of dust&sand too. exiting the tent I felt like I freshly showered and my clothes were folded too! Answer:	Deborah, absolutely! This tent is very easy to set up alone. We recommend trying it with another person, at least the first time setting up so you can get familiar with the design and the set up steps. Thank you, Customer Service.

Answer:	This tent does have a tub floor. We felt that feature is more for a backpacking tent, when there is a higher chance of potential flooding in your area. We lowered the floor seam to the ground in case there was a potential for the seam to leak. We wanted to stop any possibility of a leak before it became an issue.
Question:	Do you need to waterproof it when it's new
Answer:	Tents are water resistant so I've never waterproofed one. Just remember when it rains, don't touch the walls or else the moisture will come through. If you do use waterproofing, use the kind for pop up trailers bought in camping Dept of your local store,but this will wear off with time and more so with tents being folded and rolled up tight continuously.
Question:	With this short rainfly, I'm weary about rain and cold weather. We often camp in the fall with near 30 degrees. Anyone has experience with this
Answer:	This is not a 4 season tent. The rain fly provides pretty decent coverage, but if it's windy, gusty rain, there may be some leakage. You could always put a tarp over it for improved rain protection. There are vent flaps on the sides for fresh air which may make it a bit chilly if it's too cold outside. To me, 30 degrees isn't too bad, but without knowing your tolerance I'd have a tough time recommending it or not recommending it. I am VERY pleased with the tent overall. Hope this helps.

Answer:	Hi! The screen room does have a floor- same type of plastic floor as the main portion of the tent. The windows on the inside of the tent have zip up flats, but the screened in portion at the apex of the tent does not. That is covered only by the rain fly.

Answer:	We went camping in this tent in mid-September at approx 12,000 ft above sea-level in Colorado and yes, not having a permanent cover over the back of the screened portion made it very cold. We ended up having to cover the back screen wall with moving blankets we had in the back of our car. This is just a one season tent for high altitudes, summer.
Question:	If i was going to lay a tarp down first before setting the tent up(so nothing pokes through bottom), how big of a tarp would i need
Answer:	we have a 16x20 ft tarp that we slightly fold over about 2 ft. that gives us about 3 ft in front of the tent as an entrance outside of the screened in area. you definitely need a large tarp for this tent even though it may look ridiculous when you fold it out :)

Answer:	Sleeping area is approximately square - about 10X10. The porch is about 4 ft deep and 10 ft wide on the sleeping area side, but the front porch corners are angled, so the front width of the porch is only about 9 ft.

Answer:	If you don't expand the bag, the tent packed inside the bag is 47" x 10" x 9"

Answer:	If you were to keep the zipper windows closed you would have a sauna. The tent is not torrential rain proof, but it is waterproof and that goes for inside as well as out.

Answer:	The tent has an integrated rain fly. There's a video on the Coleman site that shows it performing. For me though, I'd buy the optional rain fly accessory for added protection and ventilation.

Answer:	yeah the back wall is always open. there's no window to zip up. the tent is really designed to run with the rain fly on it all the time. We love this tent and camped in it all last season and had no complaints.

Answer:	For tent sizing, a general rule of thumb is that whatever person size the tent says it can hold, take half off for a comfortable fit. 6 people would be sardines in a can.... this is a good size for 2 people! lololol but i like space....

Answer:	The 4 person will accommodate 2 cots, but touches the tent on both ends due to the tapering of the tent. The dimensions are measured at floor level. The gear storage bags will hang on top of you while sleeping on the cot and can feel a little claustrophobic at times. I would recommend the 6 person size to comfortably accommodate 2 cots.

Answer:	It depends on which tent you're inquiring about. All are included in this Q&A section. 4-person is about 4'11" center height, which is as tall as I am; 6-person is 6' center height.
Question:	How does one keep the screened area from collecting rain water
Answer:	Hello, user of this tent here during a rainy weekend. It doesn't - there's a netting between the main tent floor and the porch area to drain the water, but rainwater ends up pooling on the porch tarp anyways because unless you pitch the porch leaning down on a hill, there's no way to make the water actually flow outward. The only way you'd avoid this is if you poked holes in the porch, or brought along one of those shower mats that have the holes in them. For me, this resulted in an eternal puddle that never ended up drying, and a muddy and filthy porch area after camping. Furthermore, the screened in area isn't...actually screened in. There are two 6 inch gaps on the corners between the tent and porch for passing a cable through that don't have zippers, which means that not only is it not actually insect proof, but you also can't leave the tent door unzipped to get additional ventilation from the porch because the holes will let mosquitos in. The porch area is the exact opposite of a selling point in this scenario...

Question:	When used with the room separator, is the rear door a separate enterance

Answer:	According to the description, the 17x9 dimension is for the tent sleeping area, which would not include the porch. It says that the screened porch is additional, which would mean that it is not included in the 17 x 9 dimension given
Question:	How long does it take to set up
Answer:	The first time it took about 30 stressful minutes. I did it by myself so it would take a lot less time with 2 people. I can now set it up by myself in about 10 minutes. It's super easy. Make sure you follow the instructions as they are color coded. It's a great tent especially the door. The only negative is the screened in area is kinda small and does not have a floor. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase.
Question:	Does it come with everything you need to set it up or do I need to purchase other items
Answer:	Yes, it comes with everything you need to set it up. The only thing I would suggest is to buy some seam sealer and go around the seams to prevent water leaks. But it includes the rainfly, stakes, directions, etc. I love our tent, I hope you do too!

Answer:	The Tallboy is not a 4 season tent. In order for a tent to be considered a 4 season tent it mush have an aluminum frame. The Tallboy is a fiberglass frame so it is a 3 season tent. A 4 season version of a 6 person tent that Kelty does not offer an aluminum pole 6 person tent. Better to look at a Eureka Space Camp 6 or a Big Agnes Bighouse 6
