Question:	Is there a differnce between the red one and the green one
Answer:	Color is the only difference *if* the red one is a 2017 model. The green ones are all 2017 models since it was a new color for this year. If the red one you are sent is a 2016 or earlier model, it has a smaller exhaust port and a different stuff sack than the new models. The 2016 and earlier models had normal, sleeping-bag-like end-opening stuff sacks. The 2017 model has a new "sidewinder" stuff sack, more like a dry bag that folds over, and is a pretty big improvement in usability and carrying. The old bag does not have a carry strap. I ordered the sidewinder stuff sack from Exped for $20 for my 2016 mat. The exhaust port size does not make a huge difference, maybe a few seconds faster when packing up. Color option (green) is the only other difference.

Answer:	What you stated is the deflated, rolled up size for one of the single mattresses. For the single and duo models, there is a regular and large inflated size, also in the description.

We were using it with MSR Hubba Hubba NX tent in our May 09-19, 2017 travel on Lycian Way in Turkey. Sometimes we also used pump bag as a water tank to bring water from water source. Also we used it as a shower. And off course pump bag always was using as a dry sack for sleeping bag.

Answer:	There is definitely something mixed up with this description since the color of the photo (red) and weights listed seem to come from the winter one, but the color described (orange) and the name match the regular. I ordered one from Amazon back in August. I don't remember the description details from then, but the one they sent me was the orange, regular version with a weight pretty close to the manufacturer's description (they say 38.1 oz, mine is closer to 39). It's a great pad, for what it's worth. Good luck figuring out the description.

Question:	Does one "sink in" to this one at all? With the megamat duo I like that I don't "sink in," but can occasionally tell that the ground is under me
Answer:	I do not sink into the mattress when I use it. But I am 5 feet 5 inches and weigh 140 pounds. You can control the firmness once iti nflates by either letting out a little air or pumping in a little more. It is very comfortable.

Answer:	That's probably not the best idea. To get the pad to lose four inches in width, you would have to deflate it so much that it would be basically worthless as a sleeping surface.

Answer:	Deserts can get really cold at night so you might want to be sure you're fully prepared. The rating doesn't mean it adds heat or anything so even if the sand was hot you would want a higher insulation value to keep you off of it. In short, there isn't a scenario I can think of you wouldn't want this mat if you can afford the size and weight penalty

Answer:	If the bed frame had a box spring, you could.

Answer:	It's probably too late for you, but others may benefit. Insulation is insulation it works both ways. think of the insulation in your house. It also has an R Value. Yes, it keeps the house warm in the winter, but it also keeps your house cool in the summer. So in a desert situation, if the ground were to be hot/warm, it would insulate you from the heat. In the desert though, it does cool off quite a bit at night, so if the ground temperature were to cool down, it would help to keep the cold ground from seeping through to your warm body.
Question:	there are 3 models in the spec photo but they do not match size/model options which are med or xlong -wide. What size is the medium option
Answer:	I own both Exped Deepsleep Mat 7.5 M (20.5”W x 72”L)$149 and Exped Deepsleep Mat 7.5 MW (25.6”W x 72”L)$169. It looks to me like there is something wrong when you try to select a size and add to cart. They only list the medium and long extra wide. The mats are great. You can probably order from REI if they can’t straighten out the ordering process.
