Answer:

They are both correct. It will fit it.But as the other said, the infrared design is different than traditional.The way this grill handles heat is different than a standard grill. This grills grate is part of that system.Using a different grate would basically change the way it works.I know because i tried replacing the grate with a cast iron grateon a different model that uses the same infrared tech rendering it useless...

Answer:	Absolutely. Place a few briquettes to one side inside the Kettleman. On the other side is where you place the ribs (over indirect heat). I'd add an internal thermometer on the grill rack so you can keep track of the temp inside. If you can keep the internal temp of the grill around 220º or 230º, the better. Let the ribs sit on a V-rack at 2 hours per pound. You might have to replace the charcoal once or twice to keep the heat up, but you should be good to go. If you want them done quicker then just up your temp. I like to finish mine off by slathering them with BBQ sauce and then placing them directly over the heat. Hope you try it!
