Answer:	No, it is mylar with a reflective coating. The mylar alone--a plastic--might be recyclable depending on your area, but the reflective surface renders it non-recyclable. Better to reuse or repurpose it if no longer functional, e.g., cut a section to size as a ground tarp, waterproof liner for a backpack, etc.
Question:	What (easy) knot would be appropriate for tying this to a tree
Answer:	A two half hitch knot on one end that keeps it secure to one tree. The other side should be a taut line hitch knot, as it is adjustable and can pull the slack "taut". Most rope/lines will stretch a little bit after installation and the tent will sag. The taut line will allow you to address that and easily snug it up again.
Question:	How does it hold the heat in if both ends are open
Answer:	It doesn't hold heat, it reflects it. It prevents heat from being lost to wind, and more importantly water (rain, sleet, snow). It wil not hold heat, it will slow down heat loss by using the heat you produce and reflecting it back on you. It is meant to keep you from becoming hypothermic if stuck outdoors overnight. You can produce your own heat (eat and digest food, make a fire, boil water), but if your day hike goes bad and you are stuck out overnight, this is an emergency shelter. Set it up in a sheltered area to prevent wind from blowing through the ends.

Answer:	No, the tent does not include loops for stakes. Our tents are designed to be used in survival situations only, not to replace your camping tent. If you prefer to use pegs instead of rocks or gear to pin down the corners, you can create loops by inserting the stake through the mylar and then reinforcing the area with tape. However, this may compromise the strength of the mylar, so it is not recommended.

Answer:	Hi, Top-back vents are used instead of Bottom-back vents as of February 2018. Ideally, you want top-back vents to release the moisture exhaled from your lungs as you sleep (so you don't wake up wet) and to keep snakes from slithering into your tent while you sleep (as well as other creepy crawlies). Bottom-back vents are easy to cover up by accident when using a sleeping pad/sleeping bag. Question:	does the Pole need to be inserted in the ground
Answer:	No. You use your own trekking poles to set up this tent. It is intended to be set up with the handle on the ground and the metal tip pointed up. Insert the metal tip into the holder at the top of the ridge line, designed to hold the metal trekking pole tip. You can also set this tent up tied between two trees or using two sticks off the ground, or You could also set it up with the trekking pole tip down and insert the guy-line through the handle straps. So you do not need to insert the poles into the ground. Answer:	No, the tent does not include loops for stakes. Our tents are designed to be used in survival situations only, not to replace your camping tent. If you prefer to use pegs instead of rocks or gear to pin down the corners, you can create loops by inserting the stake through the mylar and then reinforcing the area with tape. However, this may compromise the strength of the mylar, so it is not recommended.

Answer:	This is a full size sleeping bag. It is like emergency blankets that fold up, but with a waterproof coating on the outside (orange). You can use it alone or you can slip your sleeping bag into it because it is resistant to water. It folds up into the small bag which fits in your hand. I guess you could use it like a poncho or tent by unsealing the seam.

Answer:	No. Heat will still escape from the head of the bag. Also, it is not a perfect insulator. A FLIR will still pick it up against a "cold by contrast " background.

Answer:	Yes, I have used the TWFRIC emergency Sleeping bag for that purpose, just in keep mind the emergency bag will keep in the moisture from your body as well as the heat, anything you have in the bag with you will be wet in the morning. Wrap your self in a blanket before closing the bag or buy a wormer rated sleeping bag you can get them on amazon for 70 or less.

Answer:	Because it's an emergency shelter, not a tent. It's to be carried on a day hike, as protection against hypothermia if forced to overnight. You'd look to set it up out of the wind, in someplace wooded if possible. You could use a pack as a wind block or semi-seal (with duct tape, spruce or pine branches, etc.) the end that gets the prevailing wind. If you want more serious protection, invest in a bivy sack by Outdoor Research or Black Diamond.
Question:	Is this a flat 8'x5' sheet? i am looking for a blanket
Answer:	No. It's a tube tent that comes with a "rope"/ridge line to run under the top so it will keep its shape. It's fairly bulky, but then it's a two-person tent. I think extra Mylar blankets would be advisable.

Answer:	This is just like a potato chip bag. So no it is not breathable. And since it has a reflective surface, it will reflect your body heat back to you. Whether or not you wake up soaked in sweat depends upon how tight you seal the ends, and the outside conditions. It is just as the name says, an Emergency Survival Shack. I purchased this for an emergency shelter to keep in my go bag, or in my daily back pack. (one in each). I hope I never need to use it but if I do it will be better than having nothing at all. If you want a breathable tent, buy one made of nylon.

Answer:	It wouldn’t. This is for emergencies, where the last thing your worries about it bugs, mosquitoes, and ticks.

Answer:	The answer is no. You can google that and 12 microns = less than .5 of a mil. This is not a substantial shelter. Nothing like a tent you would put together. It is less than a heavy trash bag, but very light and fits in a pocketof a small day pack. Like it says emergency not to stay for a week in. I would not recommend this for a camping shelter either, more of a disposable one use item. Take in your backpack for a day hike just in case or put in your earthquake emergency kit, that is what I bought it for.
