Answer:	If you can afford a carving jack why would you even consider buying this ??? don't get me wrong it's a good little knife for the money but it's bulky and not ergonomic at all your hand will hurt after a wile and the blades don't lock like the carving jack . I recall sharpening a knife (Uncle Henry) for our Sgt and when he cut himself with it the doctor (took 12 stitches inside & out to sew him up) said it looked like he had been cut with a scalpel. Answer:	Yes, it does. In my experience, it is very sturdy and well adjusted. Other knives I've owned have been difficult to clip or unclip because the clip pressure is too high. I have had this one for some time now and I think it has just the right amount of pressure to stay clipped, but not be difficult to attach or remove. I've never had to adjust it.

Answer:	The box says made in Taiwan and the blade has 4034 steel marked on it. 420 or 4034 stainless steels are the softest and least expensive. The presence of these steels usually means the knife is mass produced and imported from China. These steels are not brittle, but they do not stay sharp for long either. if you want a good edge try VG-10, it is stainless steel with a high percentage of vanadium content, which can hold an extremely sharp edge for a long time. 1095 carbon steel has a high degree of carbon in it for increased hardness; the legendary Ka-Bar fighting knives are made from this steel. H1 steel which is made with nitrogen instead of carbon, making it virtually rust proof. These knives are intended for extremely hard use by people doing stuff like salt-water sea diving. As with most things the better the material the higher the cost.

Question:	can the slot be used as a bottle opener
Answer:	The slot is designed to cut rip cord and set belts. But who knows I have never tried bottle opener. Opening maybe to narrow.
Question:	Is it spring assisted
Answer:	No, the SOG "Escape" is not spring assisted. And, as in any other stout combat knife, there is a noticeable amount of force required to open the blade. My one critique concerning this folder, is that the Teflon coating on the scales is too slippery for adequate grip during blade deployment. That being said, I was so impressed with is knife that I took the time to re-contoured the locking ramp portion of the blade for easier deployment. I would like to see this fine knife reconfigured with G10 scales to alleviate the grip issue.
Question:	Is there a special method to fold the knife? I took this knife straight out of the packaging and it seems stuck in the open position
Answer:	See the previous answers. FYI. I purchased this knife for my wife. She doesn't have the thumb strength to open the blade with one hand using the thumb stud (it is a challenge for me as well) nor the thumb strength to press down on the lockback with enough pressure to close the blade.
Question:	how is the knife used to break a window and if the blade is used to break a window will it damage the blade
Answer:	For anyone else wondering the safest way to use any knife to break a window is to you the glass breaker in the opposite end of the knife smash through the corner of the window so that way you don’t risk glass flying into whoever you’re rescuing once you’ve smashed through the glass use the back of the blade itself to clear away and extra pieces still attached so you can safely extract the victim

Answer:	The description states 200 pounds. My husband is around 180 and has sat on it. I bought the tables more for glasses than..the other:-)

Answer:	The tabletop is roughly 10 inches by 12 inches. The table is 15 inches high. Closed, it is 1 3/4 inches thick, 17 x 12 inches. It's quite tiny, so it's just what I wanted. But it may be too small for some. A 150 pound person might be comfortable for a short time sitting on this, but much above that and I would worry for the long-term durability of the table.
Question:	What is the coarseness of the whetstone? And how do i use it
Answer:	I don't think it works that well on uneven ground. Although the legs do extend to unfold the table, they don't extend in increments to make up for uneven ground.
