User questions & answers

Question: Will this fit a hults bruk jonaker hatchet
Answer: Sorry, I do not know. If you are talking about the sanding belt, then 3" x 21" should be OK if that is what craftsman calls for.
Question: Will this fit a boys axe
Answer: No. It's the drive belt from the motor to the roller that actually moves the sandpaper belt. To keep the sandpaper belt from sliding off, there is an adjustment for the angle of the front roller. it's a knurled knob and aside from the speed control and trigger is about the only adjustment on the belt sander that you can easily adjust. Turn it one way and the sandpaper belt will hit the inside of the belt sander, turn it the other way and the belt will slide to the outside and off of the roller. Adjusting it is a matter of finding the place where the sandpaper belt stays centered on the rollers.
Question: Are those inside dimensions or outside dimensions
Answer: They worked perfectly for my sander.
Question: Will this fit a 3" x 5" x 7/8" camp hatchet well
Answer: I have used mine for two or three hours max. So maybe not enough experience, but I have not had this problem. Before I felt ready to answer your question, I tried it out and still no problem. You do know that there is an adjustment knob (white plastic) toward the top front which adjusts the angle of the roller under the belt? You turn it right or left and the belt goes in either direction. Have it running and turn this knob. I tried mine out and was able to make the belt run right or left with the knob, but then I could get it back in alignment without a whole lot of problem. I hope this helps.
Question: How long is it
Answer: Its pretty slow, but belts continuously break on mine I dont even use it.
Question: how thick is the steel in inches
Answer: Not sure about watts, but its a piece of crap the sanding belts break after 30 seconds of use.
Question: Is this made by Tops Knives
Answer: There is a 1 year factory warranty on reconditioned tools. We offer a 60 day swap out.
Question: Is the back of the axe head wide enough for hammering tent stakes and nails
Answer: The one I received did not have a case with it.
Question: Does this come with a sheath or cover
Answer: You buy the replacement disc’s and belts with the grit you prefer.

User questions & answers

Question: What is the grind on the knife
Answer: Not sure what the actual angle is but it's more of a "tool" angle, considering the thickness of the knife and the intended use, it's not a bad angle. Coupled with the 1095 and Tops' differential heat treatment process, it holds up well and keeps a great edge.
Question: How thick does the blade measure
Answer: The blade is 1/4" thick at the base of the blade next to the handle, then it tapers to shape the blade. It's full tang, which is 1/4" thick through the handle. Very, very solid.
Question: What is the blade hardness rating
Answer: The hardness rating is 56-58 RC
Question: So they do come with the Tops warranty and Certificate
Answer: yes they do. I have two of these knives.

User questions & answers

Question: Will this be too big for my hatchet, which is not as big as my axe
Answer: It’s very good for fighting aliens. I’ve used it to chop apart greys when they tried to abduct me for a probe examination.
Question: Is this made to fit an axe head that is 5”tall X 7 1/2” wide or are those the outer dimensions of the sheath
Answer: never had this prpblem
Question: where is it made at
Answer: Yes, there are two belts, one large and one small. I was unable to locate the thicker one so I used the lighter weight one. It fits and has held up well so far. Drum now goes up and down as it should.
Question: How can it fire an arrow
Answer: BD4600, BD4601
Question: Is the sheath molle compatible
Answer: It takes time and patience to install the belt. I took the metal drive sprocket off then carefully aligned drive sprocket to belt and seated the the drive sprocket on the drive shaft. Clearances are close it took several tries.
Question: What kind of steel is it
Answer: I used the belt on my Ryobi. Sorry, I don't know if it fits your Craftsman. If same part number though you should be OK. If not, return the belt.

User questions & answers

Question: Where is the head made
Answer: hobbits should stick with tiny elven blades. axes are more for dwarfs, as noted by chad. the more important question is what is more deadly to orcs, the black one, the blue one, or the black with the leather handle?
Question: What kind of steel is the head of this hatchet made of? Thanks
Answer: Against everything but ninjas, yes. You won't stand a chance against a ninja with these. Or mountain lions. Or bears or muggers. Mostly useful for defending yourself against small birds and chickens.
Question: what is the overall length
Answer: Yes. the one piece steel handle extends full length of the grip.
Question: Whata the difference between this and the
Answer: It is forged, the steel shouldn´t be judged as a knife steel. It should be high carbon, but the particles of a forged steel are forced together mecanically during forging process not chemically by heating during tempering process as a knife. You should think of it as a hammer more than as a knife. it is more likely simmilar to the RMJ tomahawk than to others made out of knife steel, like the ontario rangers, if you are looking for a cutting tool this is not it. it is more like a rock hammer much like the ones used by the geologists. Need less to say, i think it is the best option as a work tool for personnel in service since the equivalent (RMJ) is over 650USD. I hope this helps.

User questions & answers

Question: Does the sheath attach to a belt
Answer: I don't believe it would be, it is made to field dress deer etc. I don't believe the balance is right for a throwing axe. Estwing makes other axes that would be better for that purpose.
Question: what is the overall length
Answer: The bits are symmetrical. This tool is not adequate for log splitting or felling. It's slightly larger than an average size hatchet.
Question: How wide is the cutting edge of the Almike
Answer: It does indeed come with a poly-fabric-weave type sheath. There are 4 snap closures as well to ensure a secure fit.
Question: It just says Swedish steel, any specification on what kind of steel
Answer: It can be thrown, but I don't recommend it. The riveted steel pommel came loose the first time the butt hit the target instead of the blade. The head really needs a bit more weight to be thrown well. When my friends and I tried we noticed it took considerably more force to make it stick than any traditional hatchet or axe due to it being heavier on the handle end (we are all fairly proficient at throwing). All in all though, if you can heave it hard enough to make up for the lack of weight in the head, it will land.
