User questions & answers
Question: | Does thid mattress have. Fiber tech |
Answer: | Hi Barbara,We actually bought this for a client who needed some modifications to a memory foam mattress. It fit well for him. There are so many kinds of foam products out there though the key thing is being sure you buy a pad that will fit the depth of your mattress. Measuring should be fairly simple and just be sure to order the right size of pad. Good luck! www.pamelahopedesigns.com |
Question: | This mattress isn't smooth on top like a regular mattress. Can you feel the ripples and are they uncormfotable |
Answer: | The mattress pad is quite deep. I have a King size mattress with a pillow top and found that this mattress pad was generous with its fit. |
Question: | good for full time bed |
Answer: | It's definitely not as cool as w/out a pad (at least for my mattress designed to be cool). It's not crazy, and I don't mind since it's November, but once summer approaches it may be annoyingly warm. |
Question: | Do I need to purchase an air pump to inflate this |
Answer: | It does sleep hot to a noticeable extent. It's not crazy, and I don't mind since it's November -- but for me I'll most likely have to buy something all-cotton for the summer. Re softness, a bit but not much. It's not all that thick. |

Answer: | Often when they are filled the first few times the vinyl stretches and gives the appearance of losing air. Should settle down after a few uses. |
Question: | Internal pump means you plug it in and it will inflate on its on |
Answer: | YES, THE BED HAS AN INTERNAL PUMP, YOU PLUG IT IN AND IT BLOWS UP IN A FEW MINUTES. I HAVE HAD IT FOR S MONTH OR SO NOW AND THE AIR STAYS IN CONSTANTLY AND I HAVE NOT HAD ANY ISSUES. IT IS A VERY COMFORTABLE BED. |
Question: | What is the difference between the standard and deluxe |
Answer: | One looks like it is better quality. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Can this be manually inflated with external pump |
Answer: | There is no “port” for an external pump that I can see. You “might” be able to use the air intake/exhaust port but I’m not sure. Hope that helps! BTW - very comfy mattress!! |
Question: | Can this be inflated with external air pump? Going camping and will only have access to a battery powered air pump |
Answer: | All the other answers saying no are incorrect. You CAN inflate this with an external pump. To do so, you just flip the switch to inflate (or deflate if thats what you're doing) and then insert your pump hose into air intake valve and it will work! Just make sure to turn the switch back to off when you're done to close the valve. |
Question: | Does the bed maintain the inflation during use |
Answer: | I found that for the first few nights I had to add a little more air, but then it Maintained air. I use it every night, and have slept on it for 9 months |
Question: | Does the headboard keep you from using a fitted sheet? I know it’s a deeper mattress but worried about the headboard stopping that |
Answer: | Was able to place fitted sheet without issue. If you have a deeper fitted sheet or king size, that will work better if your goal is to cover most of the mattress on the sides. A regular queen size sheet will go about halfway down the mattress though which is still enough to cover the top and won't slide off. It's very easy to place even with the headboard since it's also inflatable and you can reach between it and the mattress easily. |

User questions & answers
Question: | What is the wattage |
Answer: | I really don't know what the "wattage" is on this? The pump is built in and I just plugged it into my wall outlet. It automatically deflates quickly too. I love this mattress. |
Question: | Does anyone have an idea of how well this lasts over time? As a regular sleeper |
Answer: | In my case, 2 years with weekend use. Would likely have lasted longer, but got a little careless a couple of days ago... Very satisfied with the mattress and looking to replace it with the same, if I can't patch it this weekend. (Btw, it came with a patch.) I sleep better on this air mattress than on a pillow-top mattress that cost >13x more. Only down side is movement, if two people sleep on it at the same time. With practice, you can get wife airborne, but it may cost you $60. :) |
Question: | When camping and there is no electrical outlet, can this be inflated with an air pump machine |
Answer: | I've purchased a inverter for my vehicle, a 150 watt unit that plugs into cigarette lighter, $14 on Amazon. This is enough watts to run the air mattress pump. I now have an air mattress when ever and wherever I need one. |
Question: | Is it durable enough to have quality sex |
Answer: | Definitely quality sex... |

User questions & answers
Question: | How large is it when deflated? Does it fit back into the box it comes in |
Answer: | Will fit into box it came in, challenging to get it back into the cloth bag it came with. Not a problem for us as we just store it in the box or plastic bag. Love this mattress and recommend it |
Question: | does this come with a pump |
Answer: | Yes a built in one |
Question: | Has anyone purchased the "queen" only to find out its not at all thw size its supposed to be and instead is a full? Is this normal |
Answer: | Having the exact same issue. Ordered the “Queen” and it doesn’t take up any where near the same amount of space at the queen air mattress we just retired! |
Question: | Can you inflate with an external pump? (In a no electricity campsite |
Answer: | If you have a vehicle nearby you can use a DC to AC inverter and extension cord to inflate airbeds at campsites. It works very well. Inverters are pretty inexpensive, usually $20-25 for one that will do this. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Can this intex dura-beam standard series essential rest airbed be filled with a hand pump in the woods camping? queen size |
Answer: | Sure, but it's going to leak. The mattress isn't good for indoor use, much less camping. Only 3 uses indoors and it's already leaking to completely empty in 2 hours. No holes - just manufacturer defects. They only have a 90 day warranty so when it's useless at 95 days, they won't stand by their products. Horrible quality. Horrible service. Don't purchase. Find a different manufacturer. You'll be really bummed when you're forced to sleep on the hard floor, because this thing can't hold air for longer than 2 hours. I can't imagine having to sleep on the dirt if you tried using this there. |
Question: | Will sheets that state they fit 16” mattress stay on or do you need to find ones that fit 20” mattress |
Answer: | Will like to find ones that fit 20" mattress.thanks for the question. |
Question: | Our mattress got a hole in it on the first use. Any recommendations on specific patch or repair kit |
Answer: | I called the company and had them send me a new one and they did. You have a warranty on it. |

The Comfort Plush Queen Airbed is a part of the Dura-Beam series of airbeds that are providing amazing durability for years of lasting comfort. The secret is in the Fiber-Tech beam construction, which is comprised of thousands of high-strength polyester fibers that provide enhanced comfort, stability and support. Each bed is covered in plush flocking that is soft to the touch, and the horizontal air chambers provide added stability and support around the entire bed. The mattress is also equipped with a quality-tested, 20.8-gauge waterproof flocked top with 15-gauge vinyl beams and 16-gauge sides and bottom for durability. And best of all, the Comfort Plush mattress is remarkably easy to inflate thanks to the built-in, high-powered electric pump, which does its job in a mere 3-1/2 minutes. No more fussing with tiring hand or foot pumps or rummaging through the garage for your detached electric pump. And should the mattress feel a little too soft or firm, you can customize the comfort level with the touch of a button. The Comfort Plush is raised 13 inches from the floor, making it far taller than most inflatable mattresses. And at 60 by 13 by 80 inches (W x H x L), the mattress is an official queen size, making it a good fit for fitted sheets. The Comfort Plush Queen bed--which offers a capacity of 600 pounds--is a terrific choice whether you're sleeping at the in-law's overcrowded house or setting up a guest bed in the basement. The mattress comes with an AC power cord and a duffel bag (for storage). Regarding Inflation: Measurements will vary based on the manner in which it is inflated and packaging disclaims “approximate size”. Airbeds are measured from the widest point including the beams (bulges) on the side and off the tallest point from the floor including built-in pillows if applicable. Location, temperature, and humidity will affect the airbed’s firmness. Airbeds will need to be occasionally re-inflated (topped off) to maintain desired firmness when used for more than a few days as vinyl tends to relax over time. If electrical power is not available then a separately operated pump can be connected to the control valve for inflation: simply turn the control dial to the inflation symbol, insert the air pump nozzle into the valve at the center of the control dial, and inflate the airbed. the airbed inflated for 48-72 hours following the initial inflation. New airbeds have a tendency to stretch when they are first inflated which results in a loss of pressure, not air.
- Inflatable Queen airbed for home use, engineered with Fiber-Tech Construction

User questions & answers
Question: | Takes forever to inflate it turns off with overheating at five minutes anyone else have this issue |
Answer: | Not alot but it's not worth buying. They continue to deflate |
Question: | can I inflate this matress manually with other pump |
Answer: | They are 28" from the ground when the chair is fully raised, and about 8" above the seat. The arm rests are bolted to the seat and back, and can't be adjusted. |
Question: | What kind of batteries does the pump take |
Answer: | It's a decent thickness. I'm not at home at the moment to give an exact measure but I can tell you that I'm 6'3, 325 pounds, I've sat in the chair for probably 150 hours and it hasn't deflated a bit. It's very comfortable and holds up well |
Question: | Can you stack two together |
Answer: | When I bought this chair 2 years ago, I weighed 50 pounds heavier than now. Now that my butt is small, this chair is very rough on it. Other than the butt, the chair is comfortable and has held up good quality wise. But I am going to have to find a cushion of some kind to use in this chair |

Question: | Can you use a battery pump as well? In case you are camping and have no electricity |
Answer: | Probably not. If they don't mention it explicitly. I noticed a style of key change after the exx4x series the 5 and above seems to have keys spaced with a hard space between keys.
