Answer:	This would work as an eating table. You could fit 6 comfortable or 8 snugly (as long as your chair width can accomodate 3 on each side).

Answer:	I've used it for 2 shows. The handles work fine. It doesn't way much (I don't own a big scale... but am sure it is around 15lbs as described). My only complaint is that is doesn't have a lock function, ie: to lock it in open/upright position to keep it from folding when you are putting it up. The items I show on it are not heavy... but I would anticipate that it could hold some weight on it.

Answer:	bottom edge of table top is 29" from floor. Top is 1" thick, making it 30" from floor. This actually ended up being a bit high for our chairs.
Question:	Great table, but a strong wind will knock it over with umbrella in it. Anyone find a good stand that will fit under the gate-legs
Answer:	Not sure it would fit under this table but I sold an off set umbrella a really big one but kept the home made sand bags I had made to secure it against wind conditions. Now the bags were not made for the umbrella per se. I made them for a net curtain I made to keep escape artist kits from doing just that and made big hem in bottom and then made long narrow sand bags made of water proof nylon rip stop fabric and filled with sand up from the lake. The bags work great for both curtain and the umbrella. We tried numerous items including heavy slate rocks and cement blocks. I didn't want to make more sand bags so told the folks who bought the umbrella they stayed. I would imagine that a straight up umbrella in this style of table with the easily moved bags would secure it well. The bags varied a bit in size but basically are 16 long by 6 to 7 wide before filling. I just made a seam down one end then up the side where the fabric folded over so a rectangle about 18 to 20 inches by 12 to 14 inches then folded lenghwise and sewn. Filled with about 3/4 or little more of dry clean sand and sewn up on the open end. Leave some room inside the bags for the sand to adjust to your various uses. Turns out we use them for numerous needs. But mainly to keep the deer netting fence with magnetic clasps secure to the ground and works to help lift the curtain to move to side when we need to open up the gate area to let in the lawn mower or snow blower. The weights were instantly useful because kitty escape artist magnifico found he could work his way through the bottom of the curtain and climb over the orginal low wood gate. Now he can't get through the weighted bottoms. Little rascal that he is. Anyway a very easy project if you have a sewing machine handy and fabric store or buy fabric on line from Amazon. I just pick them up and dust them off now and again during the summer too or sweep them off when I sweep the patio. We found it interesting that the bags worked better than anything commercial we found or other items to hold the umbrella from blowing over. They were hefty enough and mallable both to keep the stand steady which was an off set cross stand made of painted iron. So I would use a basic standard umbrella stand under the table and then apply the sand bags over the stand itself and even across the cross bars at the bottom of table to help stablize the whole works. We usually used 5 to 6 bags and some were up to 20 inches as I wasn't sure what was really needed for original project. If I made more just to have around I would probably make them 18 to 20 by 14 to 16 rectangles then folded in half and sewn up like described above. Just knowing now how uesful they are.
Question:	any current reviews - how is the table holding up
Answer:	Our second summer with it. It is still a little wobbly, but is holding up well to use by us and 4 occasional grandchildren. We rubbed it with steel wool and teak oil last year when we bought it. It stayed out on the deck with the leaves down and a plastic cover over it all winter. When not in use I leave the sides down and a plastic cloth over it. Great little table.
