Answer:	Am not sure which product you are referring to.. But I have never received an outdated product. Depending on the particular item, they are guaranteed for at least 25-30 years. Not sure why the difference in total weight. Hope this helps. Blessings.

Question:	Do you use the chemical sulfite to dehydrate your pototoes
Answer:	Sulfites help preserve the product and retain its color. You need to look at the ingredient list for foods from any company. The 3rd image of the product shows the ingredients: Potato slices (freshness preserved with sodium bisulfite). I too am sulfite sensitive, but decided small portions for me on non-consecutive days, and having food for the rest of my family was more important. It's rumored taking B-12 may reduce or eliminate a reaction. Almost all dried potatoes on the market have sulfites. I buy Honest Earth mashed potatoes and rotate my stock to always have a boxful on hand in addition to these potato slices. Sulfites are also on the apples used in Augason's hot cereal, so I stuck with plain for breakfast.

Answer:	It should plump up to about double in about 12 minutes when you add a cup of hot water, that has been my experience.

Answer:	I read that as well so I purchased a SWING-A-WAY Easy-Crank Can Opener made specially to open #10 lb cans. I purchased it on Amazon for under $10.00.

Answer:	I saw on an ad somewhere that they stay good for at least 10 months after can is opened. I personally measure out 3 ounces which is a good serving for two and put them in a food saver bag. They will last a long time that way. The can holds about 8 two person servings if you use approx 3 dry weight ounces in each package. I love these things rehydrated, browned on one side, flipped over and several eggs cracked on top as the bottom half browns. A little ketchup and it is a breakfast feast to power you through any kind of activity.

Answer:	Kathy, to answer your question sbout the Auguson potatoes: There is no mention of GMO's on the tub they come in but it is a quality product in my opinion.

Answer:	With potatoes @ 342 calories per lb (per web search), the 6800 calories stated for this product equates to almost 20 lbs of fresh potatoes.
Question:	Are they packaged in one mylar bag or multiple bags
Answer:	This product comes in a large plastic pail. Word to the wise, the lids are murder to remove, but a gaget is available to make the job easier.
