Answer:	I'm not sure what gives, mine is still going strong since August at 16 hours a day....make sure that you can dissipate the heat from the bulb; ie: are you using a shroud around it? That would make it overheat maybe....or make sure your connections in your receptacle are set up right, ....or check to see if it being screwed in too tightly....also, keep your fingers off the bulb....oil from your hands can make it blow sooner than you would want it to.
