Answer:	I have just mounted my first tubeless mountain bike tire. The rim and tire were both for tubeless application. I used Tyvek tape to seal the rim as I had seen it recommended over most other tapes. I used the blackjack mounting compound around the valve stem and in the bead of the rim. The tire seated right away using my air compressor and a presta to schrader adapter. The compound cleans the sides of the tire very well too. Seems to be holding the pressure well for over 24 hours now.
