Answer: It cinches up pretty tight, but I would not trust baggage handlers to pick the pack up from the straps. It might get pulled off pretty easily.

Answer: Ditto Scott's answer. I actually own 2 Red Cloud 110's (Ponderosa Pine & Black) along with a big Kelty external frame pack, the Tioga classic 5500. The large pack cover fits both packs. Still, in long term or heavy rain and wind, any external cover will not provide perfect protection. Water will leak down between your your shoulders and the pack. Do yourself a favor and throw a trash bag inside your pack as a liner. The pack cloth may get wet but your clothes and sleep system will stay completely dry. A plastic garbage bag costs little and weighs almost nothing.
Question: Which pack, 65l or 80l? I am a father of 4, so I often carry more than my fare share... but I don't want to buy more bag than I need
Answer: It will definitely fit the Coyote 80. Get the large for it. The medium cover is for up to 50L packs so you will need the large for the 80L pack.

Answer: Although I don't know for sure, the large rain cover has more than enough room to cover my 4900 cu in Coyote Pack. So, I assume the regular would fit your 3100 cu in pack nicely.

Question: How/where does it haul a tent
Answer: I have used 2 and 3 liter bladders from a couple of different brands. Keltys have a little clip so as long as you can attach the clip to your bladder, it will be supported. I have also just dropped them in but they sometimes work their way down and the flow can get cut off. The clip worked fine with the camelback bladders but probably better with the ones with a slot cut in the bladder for a velcro strap.
Question: How much does this pack weight
Answer: Right from their website. Kind of a hokey warranty if you ask me....the way it is worded is a catch 22....I like their products, but, the warranty is really iffy... "Kelty branded tents, backpacks, sleeping bags, and kid carriers purchased only from authorized sellers are warranted to the original purchaser against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for the lifetime of the product. This does not mean your lifetime, but the reasonable lifetime of the product, considering its age and how you have cared for and used it. Kelty branded lighting, trekking poles, furniture, sleeping pads, coolers, airbeds, drinkware, apparel, and accessories are covered by a one-year warranty to the original purchaser from an authorized seller that protects the original purchaser against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. Question: Can this bag fit in the overhead bins on airplanes
Answer: I could not find an exact size, however it easily fits a 15-16L sleeping bag in stuff sack, with extra room. The compartment is also connected to the rest of the pack. There is a divider between the compartments that can be removed to allow for larger bags.
Question: What torso length will this pack fit
Answer: Material is solid. I am traveling with it now. In and out of several planes and over rough terrain. No issues.

Answer: This pack is designed for Scouting age youth. It is more of a function of sizing than of age. The Junior Redcloud fits torso sizes 14" to 18"
Question: Does this pack come w/ straps and elastic bands that can be used to attach a rolled yoga mat to the outside? Just double checking! Thanks
Answer: Well, it depends on the size of your tent. If it is small enough, it could go in the loops on the bottom. If small enough, it could go between the side pockets and the main compartments. If small enough, it could go in the open part between the main compartment and the organizer pocket on the front of the main compartment. If small enough, it could go in the side pockets. If too large for any of those options, it could go in the main compartment or strapped on the outside of the main compartment. Hope that helps. Honestly though, unless you are really tiny, I'd just get the unisex version. It has a lot more room. I have both. One is an older model that doesn't have the adjustable torso. It is really roomy. I wish I had returned my women's version and got the updated unisex version. One thing I noticed with this particular pack is the hook and loop closure of the stuff pocket on the front comes unhooked very frequently. There is an updated version that has a clasp to keep it closed. I would buy that one if I had the chance to do it all over again.
Question: Does the width measurement include the side pockets
Answer: My luggage scale shows it weighs 3.6 lb
Question: will this qualify for carry on
Answer: I believe it will, but I will say that the bag is bigger than the carry on size dimensions. Thanks!

Answer: True the 7500 series can be adjusted to drop down. The 6500Ql has a latch system that does not need to be adjusted each time you drop it from your face, making it much more user friendly.
Question: Does this have a hyrdration sleeve
Answer: The filters for these masks are sometimes sold separately. There are various filter options depending on the filtering objective of the mask.
Question: How does the material hold up to rain
Answer: Sure. I bought the specific one you refer to. i use it to paint wood, cars, projects etc.... You should go for the prefilter (3M 5P71PB1 6000 Series Particulate Filter) you can search it like that, and the organic vapor cartridge (3M 6001 Organic Vapor cartridge). You also need the pre-filter retainer (3MTM filter retainer 501). These three are the perfect combination for any type of solvent based paints and the like. Hope this helps, John Cascante

Answer: Internal frame packs are designed to carry almost everything within. A military sleep system would, more than fill-up any pack. The only possible option I can think of is to secure that giant bag just under the top lid. Some of the High Peak backpacks are designed to carry large items on the outside, but . . . . Question: Does this have a built in rain cover
Answer: My sons used the Coyote 80 for Philmont which was a 10 day 80 mile backpacking trip, but their body frames are a fair bit smaller than yours. I also accompanied them and am comparable in size 6'0", 200lb and used the Kelty Red Cloud 90. It worked out great. You may also want to look at the Red Cloud 110.
Question: where do you put sleeping bag
Answer: I am 5'8" and 185 lbs. I got the medium/large and it fits well. I assume the small/medium will work for you. This pack does not come with the rain cover, so I bought one at the time I got the Coyote 80. It is a very nice pack. I like it a lot! The only thing I wish it had was a separate top and bottom compartment. I hate digging for things on the bottom. BUT, for the price and all the other options on this pack, like large outside pockets, access to the inside from the front, and a large pocket on the front, it is the best pack I could have gotten myself. Answer: Hi! There aren't built in straps or elastic bands for this purpose, but there are plenty of spaces to hook a yoga mat to the bag using clips or grappling hooks. There are many adjustable straps on the bag for the shoulder straps and various compartments. I often loop items through those straps although that's not their intended use (sturdy enough to carry the weight).

Question: Why is this pack so much cheaper and different looking than the more expensive version of the 40L
Answer: If you stuff the side pockets, it will not fit into the sizing bin/device at airport that measures carry on bags. I would keep the sides empty to get through, then repack your things.
