Answer:	Yes u can. I used it yo backpack for a week. In between gear and clothes still had room

• Aluminum Rod Backpacking System- support the pack and distribute the weight of its contents across the body more appropriately, by transferring much of the weight to the hips and legs
• Bottom Access:There is a divider between the sleeping bag compartment (at the bottom) and the main compartment at the top.You can access the main compartment from the bottom if needed
• Hydration Compartment:Separate bladder sleeve in the main compartment.Big enough or a 3 liters hydration bladder
• The best way to carry a sleeping bag:You could use the front straps, or the top straps and secure the sleeping bag to the outside
• Use the waist belt, and slightly loosen the shoulder straps to shift the weight to the hips. That is what the hip belt on all backpacks is for. Adjust until comfortable. Also, use the sternum strap. It will bring the shoulder straps in tighter to the chest. It will also help prevent the shoulder straps from falling off the shoulders.

Answer:	I am 34x32 typically but after wearing these (medium) I would get the large unless you like a "slim fit" look. I still wear mine but as my waist "bloats" they tend to be "high water".

Answer:	My husband is a Medium and it fit him perfect. Runs true to size. If looking for womans fit I can't tell as women can be of different sizes below the waist. But definitely is not a stretchy pant nor expandable. Hope this helps.

Question:	Is there a padded laptop compartment? How large the laptop can be
Answer:	The size of this back pack is not carry on and and not personal item. You would definitely have to check it in if you pack it over 70% capacity (check with airline for measurements of carry on luggage) I fly with it as a checked bag and don’t have any problems. I would definitely wrap in in plastic bag though to make sure no pockets open by accident latches and zippers don’t break

Answer:	I extended the waist belt out as far as it would go and measured and it went to 54 inches. It should fit. As for the other comment on this. We have worn out packs several times and we feel they are comfortable. We typically don't put a lot of stuff in the top part of the pack other than a few items that we use regularly. It can also easily be removed to lighten the pack if you don't feel the need to use it.
