Reg 110 and 220 have 1 hot, 1 neutral, 1 ground. 240v can be 3 prong which some say is 230 idk but anyways, your electric dryer is 240v, whereas you have 2 hot at 110v, 1 neutral, 1 ground on 4 prong plug. It can be argued an oven or range runs on 240 where you have 110v on 2 hot prongs, and 1 neutral on a 3 prong. I have a step up transformer that takes 110v and converts it to 220v. Thats why when u use a us appliance in europe you fry it, cause its designed for 110 and you need a special adapter. |
