Answer:	It is durable, but I would not recommend checking it in. The fabric is very thin and could get caught on something and tear. But it is a perfect carry on. It held our electronics and personal items on the plane.

Answer:	It will fit, I am also 6'4", used it on a 23 mile hike and regretted 23 of those miles. So comfortably not so much.

Answer:	I'm not sure about the weight. I alao have a small 4th grader using this since the school started. So far it's holding up well. Btw it's always full of books, i'm quite sure I'm getting my money's worth.
