Question:	how does this work for paddleboards
Answer:	I would say very similar to how it works on a kayak. It is strapped toward one end of the vessel and should roll easily
Question:	I will be using this on a six day 165 mi canoe trip. How small does this fold up and how much does it weigh? Size and weight matters
Answer:	It folds up to a pretty compact size but it will take up space in your canoe for the trip while you're in the water. It depends on how big the canoe is and how much space you have for cargo during your canoe trip.
Question:	Can I hook this to the back of my golf cart
Answer:	No, the carrier is place to the rear of the Kayak. You might be able to attach the front of the Kayak to the rear of the golf cart although it is doubtful the Kayak will stay on the carrier if you reach hit bumps, holes or rocks or increase speed. This carrier is made so you place the wheels under the Kayak toward the rear and pull the Kayak from its front strap.
Question:	Would this work for a Hobie 14' Pro Angler
Answer:	My one person kayak is 50lbs and I transport about 100 meters from my house to the water's edge. Your hobie 14 is 122lbs empty. I do not think this is the correct carrier for you. You need a wider/stronger carrier.

Question:	How do the j rack set on the rack, both kayaks set in or out
Answer:	You get two of these in each box. You will need to order two sets. If you are hauling two kayaks or two boards. Be aware that the profile of the clamps on these "J-bar Racks" are for a crossbar that is more round or square in shape versus flat and oval as are my crossbars on my Rav4. They would clamp real well on a crossbar that was 1-1-1/2 inch round or square.
Question:	Need to know how wide a load bar the racks will accommodate (distance between the bolts that hold the rack to the load bar) or if anyone has mounted them successfully to a Taurus GL wagon factory rack
Answer:	Well both really. There are 6 bolts in total that drop through each assembly. The outer 4 have nuts underneath, and they join the two U-bars with the main assembly. The inner 2 bolts attach to a lower bracket that wraps around your roof rack. For disassembly from the roof rack, or adjustment, you just need to loosen the knobs - the other 4 bolts stay in place.I'll try to add some more photos to show the situation.
Question:	Does each set of racks come with 2 straps? Meaning there would be 4 total straps with this set
Answer:	As long as your rack is not flush with your vehicle, I think it should work. The bolts that keep the J rack in place have to be tightened from underneath.
Question:	So you get 4 total units enough for 2 kayaaks, correct
Answer:	Fits both although to be honest it would fit the square and wing shape better than the round. We switch back and forth between our round yakima cross bars and the square cross bars on our Honda Odyssey. On the yakima cross bars they have a tendency to "spin" right or left and not stay upright when sliding a boat on. On our flat/square cross bars we don't have this problem. Not sure how they'd fit on Thule because I don't own that system.

Answer:	I just measured inside to inside of bed of 2002 Toyota Tacoma from left side to right side and it measures 57 1/2" and I have 1 1/2" to spare on the connecting tube before top tubes touch each other leading me to say the minimum bed width from left to right is 56". Hope that helps!
Question:	how do you strap on a kyack
Answer:	It should fit as the width is easily adjustable. I did not bolt mine down. I used these clamps. http://www.amazon.com/API-Mounting-Clamps-Camper-Shells/dp/B002S4GS48/ref=pd_cp_hi_1 Worked great for hauling my 15' canoe.
Question:	Has anyone tried to use this for SUP (Stand Up Paddle)? I am wondering about this since it has a "V" shape that might not fit with the SUP
Answer:	There's an interior bar that connects the two pillars that attach to the bed rail. This bar allows you to expand the width, however there are horizontal bars coming from those pillars that measure about 2.5' each thus you 5' minimum width. I had the same issue with my ranger, 4.7 width. You can cut back the 3" from those bars and still be able to fasten the interior bar. For the price difference that's what I'd recommend.
Question:	I want to be able to walk about one mile using this with a ten foot sit on top kayak. Would this work
Answer:	no they not. you will have to remove the c-channel track. so if you have to do that, remove the bed rail top cap, then you will see that there is already holes (for post)made in bed that will allow you to just drop in easy home made or bought ladder rack. so safe your money and don't damage your bed.

Question:	How many SKS locks do I need to buy for the rack
Answer:	You will need a 2 pack of the Yakima SKS lock cores to lock the JayLow's to the crossbar.
Question:	Any ideas on how to get a 52 lb. kayak up on the Jaylows by yourself
Answer:	My 16' kayak weighs 56 lbs. I line it up on the side of my car so that the cockpit is between the front and back bars, more or less. I lift the front and "walk" it with my hands until my hands are up over my head, then I lean the front 1/3-1/2 of the kayak against the front jay hook (cockpit out). It helps if the rear end of the boat is in grass or something that doesn't slide. Next I step a couple of steps to the rear of the cockpit and, with one hand grasping the cockpit and the other cradling under the back of the boat, I heave it up onto the rear jayhook. I'm 5'7" (female) and can do this in about 1 minute. I can barely lift the kayak by myself, but doing it 1/2 a boat at a time is super easy.
Question:	Can i please get a detailed answer on how to stop the whistling that these jaylow carriers make? i have a faring already
Answer:	Duct tape over holes on bottom will stop the whistling.
Question:	Will this rack really carry two kayak's? To carry two kayak's do you need additional hardware or straps
Answer:	We have not used these racks for 2 kayaks, we just bought 2 racks. BUT..... We have 4 kayaks and will try it someday. I can see how this rack will work for two, it just needs to be positioned perfectly vertically, instead of leaning back slightly. You will need another set of straps, preferablly two for around the main body and a bow and stern strap. We really like our Jaylow carriers, they are very easy to install and adjust, and very easy to load one kayak onto. You will need two people to put on the second kayak though, because the second kayak won't have the cradle bracket to hold it in place on the back of the bracket.

Question:	Dooes it include bow & stern lines
Answer:	Pretty straight forward stuff. I found that I had to modify a couple of things in order to get mine to fit correctly. First off, the bolts were too long so I had to cut those down. Second I put some padding on the brackets so they wouldn't scratch my crossover bars (I have a Subaru Outback). Third, the screw knobs were tight on the threads so I had to drill the plastic out so they would tighten easier. For the money I spent on this rack these modifications were simple to complete and I enjoy using them to pack out my kayaks. I hope some of this was helpful.

Answer:	The longer bar is 16" from the pad in the cradle to it's end. Add another 1 1/2" to 2" to that height if you're questioning it's height once it's mounted on your vehicle racks.

Answer:	Not really , does not interfere with your vision , the strap does be about 4 to 3 inches down from the inside of the roof of car , hope this helps

Answer:	Depends on how much whatever you are hauling weighs ...as the max weight capacity for this item is 110 lbs. But I found this works really well to haul my 85lb kayak on my cars rooftop. I just had to use a couple bungees to tie down the front and the rear for added security on the highway/freeway. This product even comes with a heavy duty stow bag for when its not in use. Probably the next best thing compared to a mounted unit. Fit my needs well.

Answer:	I can’t specifically answer about the difference. I haul a 16’ wooden canoe (75 lbs) that is 39” wide at the thwart with no difficulties.

Answer:	It could work, but it is NOT intended to carry a canoe in that manner. The shape of the hull, depending on how steep it is, could make it impossible if the canoe touches the crossbars before the cradles make contact.
