Answer:	Yes. The item I got had a very brittle main body that fractured in many places when dropped from about table or hip height onto a hardwood floor. It was rendered unusable during its first use! If the material selected were tougher this would have been a great bottle - the design is good, the materials for the main body of the bottle are completely inappropriate - or at least were early in 2020.

Answer:	I don't see any specific listing of the type of plastic, and there isn't one in the product description (the Amazon listed material type is cotton, which is wrong unless it's meant to indicate a cotton-derived bioplastic or is a composite with cotton fibers, but I suspect it's just wrong; the product itself is one of at least a dozen different brandings of what appear to be identical products - it looks like there's a single generic Chinese manufacturer whose products are sold under multiple brands, so I wasn't able to find extensive info when I bought the product as I don't speak Mandarin or read Hanzi). That said, I haven't noticed any structural material degradation after a year and a half of daily riding, nor any bleaching nor milky appearance on the always-exposed surfaces (like the top of the cups at the end of the arms), so it might well be UV-resistant.
Question:	Two photos show different attaching method. Is it a bolt like in third photo or is it a knob on the bottom like in the fifth photo

Answer:	I have a Northwinds Polaris with rounded hull (tumblehome) and the upper part of this rack hits and rubs the hull while not being tight against the gunwales. It needs to be cut off if you buy this rack. I would recommend another rack or be prepared to cut this one down if you have a similar canoe.

Answer:	Don't see why not assuming you have the tools to do so as the receiving tube appears to me as stock square steel tubing. Doing this of course would remove the protective coating and if you live as I do near the beach rusting will ensue as I am sure under the coating is not stainless steel so I would be prepared to attempt to anodize or some other rustproofing of the newly exposed metal.

Answer:	Yup. The board may stand proud, but will certainly suffice provided you have 2/3 of the surface supported by the bars. Both of my boards overhang by a few inches as they are 29" and 34" and their widest.

Our Story

It all began in 1992 when the very first Rhino Rack was born. Like all births, it was wonderful, inspiring, and a little bit messy. But pretty soon we realised we were onto something solid, and the next 20 years saw Rhino-Rack grow steadily, developing an extensive range of high-quality roof rack systems and accessories.

Saddles are horizontal kayak roof racks that let your kayak rest on its flatter surface. These types of carriers offer more surface area contact to your boat hull than others. Saddles consist of two pads that extend from the base rack to the bottom of your kayak. They can be either part of a single cradle or two separate pieces that adjust to fit the width of your boat.

Question:	Can you use 2 systems for 2 kayaks
Answer:	yes - depending on the width of your kayaks and the support bars. My Hobie kayak is 32" wide and when you start adding in the width of the kayak saddles (about 6" each) it gets kinda wide. In my case, two 32" wide Hobie kayaks would need about a 7' cross bar on the roof. May be best to turn the kayaks on their side using the saddles sold here.
Question:	could someone link me to a model like this that will work with the yakima round bars? im looking but just cant seem to find it
Answer:	They work great on my round bars
Question:	Will this work on a 2" round crossbar on a truck lumber rack
Answer:	Yes it fits
Question:	Please provide directions.. How do I properly use the straps? The straps make a very loud (motorized sound) humming sound when traveling above 30 mph
Answer:	I agree on tightening and routing through stuff, but have also found that putting a twist or two on the strap can eliminate that humming and flapping noise. Some may not like the idea of twisting a strap, but at 70+ MPH on the highway my straps stay quiet and secure.

Question:	How do the j rack set on the rack, both kayaks set in or out
Answer:	You get two of these in each box. You will need to order two sets. If you are hauling two kayaks or two boards. Be aware that the profile of the clamps on these "J-bar Racks" are for a crossbar that is more round or square in shape versus flat and oval as are my crossbars on my Rav4. They would clamp real well on a crossbar that was 1-1-1/2 inch round or square.
Question:	Need to know how wide a load bar the racks will accommodate (distance between the bolts that hold the rack to the load bar) or if anyone has mounted them successfully to a Taurus GL wagon factory rack
Answer:	Well both really. There are 6 bolts in total that drop through each assembly. The outer 4 have nuts underneath, and they join the two U-bars with the main assembly. The inner 2 bolts attach to a lower bracket that wraps around your roof rack. For disassembly from the roof rack, or adjustment, you just need to loosen the knobs - the other 4 bolts stay in place.I'll try to add some more photos to show the situation.
Question:	Does each set of racks come with 2 straps? Meaning there would be 4 total straps with this set
Answer:	As long as your rack is not flush with your vehicle, I think it should work. The bolts that keep the J rack in place have to be tightened from underneath.
Question:	So you get 4 total units enough for 2 kayaaks, correct
Answer:	Fits both although to be honest it would fit the square and wing shape better than the round. We switch back and forth between our round yakima cross bars and the square cross bars on our Honda Odyssey. On the yakima cross bars they have a tendency to "spin" right or left and not stay upright when sliding a boat on. On our flat/square cross bars we don't have this problem. Not sure how they'd fit on Thule because I don't own that system.
