Answer:	It all depends on how heavy the door is and the geometry of how you install the shocks. Even though it might not take more than 67 pounds to lift up a door from its edge furthest away from the hinge point, the shocks are not designed to extend out that far. They are intended to be mounted with the extension end much closer to the hinge point, and at that position 67 pounds of thrust might not be enough to push the door up and open without assistance. Unless you have a degree in mechanical engineering you might just have to try them out.
