Answer:	Each strap is about a 1.5 feet long, so only gives you an extra 3 feet. We have it across a 19' 10" racquetball court and it works great. I think 30' is too wide. It will not fit without adding additional ropes or straps on.

Answer:	No, those measurements are for the width of the net. The height is adjustable and ranges from about 3 to 5 feet, which should meet your needs nicely. Aside: I haven't left a review, but this net has been great for the couple of months we've had it. Solidly built and easy to set up and break down.
