Answer:	You must measure her standing from her wrist to the floor. This is how long a bat should be. However the weight is different as she must be able to hold the bat from two angles without dropping it. 1. In front of her and 2. Out the the side. If she can not hold the weight of the bat (with batting dominant hand only) the bat is too heavy and you must lower the weight because she will have a slow swing. That being said, usually an 8yr old is between a 26-28 lenght and 11-17 sometimes 18 weight
