| Answer: | It would be a great Jetty rod but not so much for surf. Now, I only say that because I got the 9 foot version and I bought it for pier fishing. I’ll 12 footer of the same model may very well be a fine surf rod. |

| Answer: | yes, I have both Tica Dolphin spinning and casting rods , the guides on the casting rods are slightly smaller. On the 7/8 ft rods the first guides are: spinning 29mm, casting 22mm. (by my quick measurement) |

| Answer: | This is a nice set of single-foot replacement guides. Approximate sizes measured on the inside diameter of the ceramic guides are: 5, 7, 8, 10, 14, & 18MM. the rod tips are all the same size 5mm with a ferrule opening of approx. 2.5+mm. The numbers on the box are #8, #10, #12, #16, #20, & #25 with a symbol (zero with a slanted line through it) followed by 2.8 which I interpret to be the ferrule opening of 2.8MM for the rod tips. Hope this helps. |

| Answer: | On the light action a 1/4 or 3/8 should work just fine. With the 6'6 or 7'0 medium and 8 to 12 lb test you could go up to 3/4. Anything above that might be too much. |

| Answer: | 30 lb. line is WAY too heavy for a light action rod. I would put no more than 8 lb. line on it. Get some 6 lb. braided line and it will cast 100'. Use it to fish for panfish or trout. Get a heavier rod for fish bigger than that. |

| Answer: | The largest is 1 in outside diameter and 3/4 in inside diameter. I put these on my 7 1/2 ft fiberglass rod. I use the rod with a spinning reel; they function well and look good. |
