BUT, he performed an average dunk tonight and the back board broke in half, and as the half with the hoop attached to it, fell to the ground, it cut his hand slightly. Before tonight I would have given this product 5-stars. I plan to contact the manufacturer to find out more. If I find out anything, I'll report back here again.

Answer:	I'm not sure, but ours has been solid for well over a year now with tons of use by my five sons and their friends. It is relatively lightweight, and if installed correctly into studs in the wall it will be very solid.
