| Answer: | I have both, it appears the improved version is lighter, that’s the only benefit. The older version has an old style bow holder built into the platform. I don’t use it for that but when the stand is folded that bow holder opening allows the seat platform to nest in close. The newer version has a solid area there with the company emblem on it. The seat collides with this preventing the stand to collapse completely. Don’t get me wrong, the stand collapses fine but the original design allows for an additional 1” of collapsing. Overall I love these stands, I don’t think there is a better one on the market today. |
