Answer:	I had trouble using this software, It was not totally user friendly. I don't think it would make a difference if you were using ata hdd or a ssd, but I can't really be sure. My cloning project ended sadly in failure.

Answer:	It’s a USB-to-SATA adapter cable, which is USB (2.0 or 3.0 as needed to match your PC) on one end, and SATA on the target SSD or HDD (I.e. what you’re cloning to). Note that you don’t connect two computers, you connect the one computer with the source hard drive, and the target cloned drive. Dynamic Resize

With a single click of the mouse Echo will clone your entire hard drive (i.e. Operating System, Programs, Data, Partitions, etc.) to another drive. Question:	Is this the perpetual version
Answer:	The basic software - local non-cloud backup - is perpetual, with free upgrades within the same version. There are subscriptions available for optional cloud services. I run a wide variety of TI versions from 9.1 (on old XP systems, before the cloud was available) to 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018 (on newer operating systems - I probably have over 30 licenses), and they all keep working on all the machines with no ongoing costs or renewals. Eventually, they'll stop updating older versions, but they still work fine unless you upgrade to a newer operating system that the older version doesn't support. I don't use cloud backups on any of these.

The boxed versions supposedly contain a CD ROM installation disk, the subscription versions appear to just have a download link. It would be nice to have an official response from the seller(s) telling us exactly what we get. I don't need to buy from Amazon if I want to download the software, I can do that directly at Acronis. I'm looking for the actual disk, Acronis True Image 2020 - 1 Computer. If this doesn't include the disk, please say so.

Answer:	i would think so. it has a mode to copy a drive without using the file system or operating system. sector by sector copying.
Question:	Convert an mbr disk into a gpt disk
Answer:	It does not do MBR system disk to GPT system disk automatically. I believe it will do data disks MBR to GPT automatically. If you have the expertize you can do a system disk manually using this software. I suggsessfully did a windows 10 MBR to GPT manually with it - complicated and hard. Windows GPT boot partition pretty much has to be set up by Windows install then you copy your backed up install over the system part. Then sometimes you have to repair boot record. You really have to know your stuff to do a manual system migration to GPT.

Question:	I only have the hdd from my old pc. i have programs on there that i need. am i able to transfer just those programs to my new pc with this software
Answer:	Hi Joseph R. Emsick, Migration can be done using the old machine's HD as long as there is an operating system in it. This option is called the Image and Drive Assistant. We connect the working old machine's HD with an operating system then migrate using the new machine. The this is that the old machine's HD needs to be recognized in the new machine. Digital Rights Management or DRM will still apply for programs and will need a license reset from the manufacturer plus a manual reinstallation. Architecture will come into play as well. 32x to 64x means incompatible programs will not be migrated to the 64x machine and PCmover will not convert incompatible programs to work on the new machine. Question:	Can you boot up directly to the command prompt without using windows and can you recover deleted files using the command prompt only
Answer:	ResQstick boots the unbootable PC straight into our ResQ wizrard. It does not provide a command prompt. We do much better than that. It's got a full folder/file browser in the UI. You can see all the data and choose whatever you want. We find and select the data for you, but you can unselect, or search for and select other data. You are in control. • Will ResQstick work if my computer screen is completely black? No. That probably means the PC isn't getting electricity or the screen or the motherboard is burned out.
• Does ResQstick need an Internet connection? Yes, but only for a moment. ResQstick must go online briefly to confirm that the activation code (serial number) entered is genuine. This registers your product & makes you eligible for free upgrades.
• How long should I wait for the recovery wizard to start? If it doesn't proceed to the recovery interface in 5 minutes or less then contact Technical Support. If we can't make ResQstick boot your PC then we'll refund your money immediately... no need to return the product.
