| Answer: | It depends on what you intend or want to do. AfterShot Pro is a RAW converter/editor with batch processing capabilities (which is does very well and very quickly-better that "Lightroom"). PSE can do RAW conversion and editing with major emphasis on ediiting. I have not used PSE in many years, but have used Lightroom; I presently use AfterShot Pro 3 and PaintShop Pro X9. I am satisfied with both. I definitely prefer ASP 3 over Lightroom. You may want to download a trial copy of ASP 3 to see if you like it before purchasing. If you are just beginning photo editing/post processing, you may be more happy with PSE. |
