If you are wanting to know how many total pages that have been through your copier, you can see the machine's "Page Counters" for the number of "copies", "printed pages", "reports and lists", "faxes" or a "summary total of them all" by doing the following: Press MENU, then 8, then 2 (pushing the 8 will bring up a message "Machine Info", then pushing the 2 takes you to "Page Counter"). Press the UP or DOWN arrow to see the "Total" number of sheets of paper that have gone through your machine or choose one of the other options for the number of sheets that have gone through as a "Fax/List", "Copy" or "Print". When you get the information that you need, press STOP/EXIT. Now if you are needing that information in order to know how soon you need to worry about replacing the "Drum" or the "Belt Unit", do the following: Press Menu, then 8, then 3. (Pressing 8 should bring up "Machine Info" and then pressing 3 takes you to "Parts Life". Then press the UP or DOWN arrow and select one of the choices (1 is for Drum life; 2 is for the Belt Unit; 3 is for the PF Kit; 4 is for the Fuser.) Then press "OK". When done, getting the "Life information" on the part you were concerned about, press STOP/EXIT. (Just so that you know, most people are concerned about replacing the "Belt Unit". For this particular copier/printer/fax, 50,000 single sided letter size pages is generally the magic number before replacing it.) |
