Answer:	I wouldn't. Chinchillas need a solid surface to run around on. Their feet will still get stuck on these. I have both rabbits and chinchillas.

Answer:	I think so. They were smaller than we expected, and they didn't work well for us at all, but yes, I think you could cut them. The rabbits destroyed them pretty quickly.

Answer:	Probably not.. cause he will stop chewing the bars, but can easily chew this plastic stuff. My rabbits do it sometimes, and I use it on the floor. What if you hang some wood toys on the bars ?

Answer:	I have 2 mini-rex who have not found this appetizing. One of the few things they don't try to eat in fact. The cutouts make for good traction without too much pressure on the hocks. Both of mine had sore hocks when we started using these from 4H fair cages which have nearly healed now.

Answer:	These are perfect for basements. I put down a foam floor (the kind with the letters) now am I ready to upgrade to a more adult floor. I spent less than $200. (Approx 255 sq ft) on the current floor about 15 years ago and the most damage we have had is furniture marks and I accidentally left the beater bar on the vacuum and marred up the surface (use the bare floor or the hose option). I have not ordered these yet but these should be better than the ones I put down since they were toys!! I have had no issues with the foam as it does not absorb water. I have taken up the entire floor once and removed individual tiles from time to time to wash them, just let them dry completely before laying them back down. I used a large storage tub and laid them out on the driveway to dry. I can’t wait to finalize my design and get the flooring ordered!

I've heard of people using zip ties, but the rabbit may chew on them. We even put these on a wooden hutch floor where they can't be secured and the rabbits just move them around as they like. Answer:	In my opinion, it's more like straw. I have straw bedding in cage for my bunnies and they will not eat it, but the will devour Timothy hay, oat hay and orchard grass. They will shred these mats to pieces but will not eat it.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Prewash & dry your new cage liner 1-2 times to prep the fabric.

2. Lay your cage liner directly on the bottom of your pet’s cage. (It will go up the sides a bit to ensure a good fit) You don’t need to use any other kind of newspaper or disposable bedding underneath it.

3. Once a day, sweep up loose bits of hay/pellets using a dust pan & brush.

Question:	I have a kaytee extra large cage for 2 guinea pigs: 42x18x20 lwh . is this too big or ok since it says it shrinks
Answer:	It will be way too big. It has not shrunk at all for me and it would take a lot of heat over multiple washes to shrink the size-it’s 6 inches too long and 4 inches too wide for the Kaytee cage and any shrinking won’t be the right amount in both directions.
