Answer:	As someone who has had dozens of piggies over the years and rescued just as many I can tell you that the setup of the cage can make all the difference in the world. Unfortunately I know far too many people get guinea pigs don't set it up right and then they find it a pain in the neck ...in fact I'm trying to help someone rehome one right now. I always kept my Guinea in ferret cages at least three stories high. I modified it for their feet so they wouldn't get hurt. But in the bottom I had a removable tray with no screen on top of it or greet. Once a day I'd pull that out throw it away and put new padding down, usually newspaper with no color. When you're caring for many I couldn't afford to buy special bedding period but there's nothing wrong with black and white newspaper. My point is it took less than one minute to do this each day and it was so convenient she was a great Guinea pig and lived a long happy life. So if you can figure out something similar or a cage with a pull-out tray it is the easiest thing to do. you can't go a week without cleaning that's for sure because they go so much it smells. Even if you don't smell it other people that come in will smell it. No kitty litter or things like that. wood shavings are not that great many guinea pigs have allergies to them. If you wanted to use a natural pet safe soil type of a bedding you could do that and get a very tiny kitty litter scoop type thing. Or make one out of some screen. Well, there's a lot of misinformation out there. Hamsters, gerbils, dwarf hamsters are not supposed to be exposed to PINE shavings or wood in toys and such, yet many products "for hamsters" are in fact made of pine. I've had the same hamster now over a year. She loves this bedding just as much as any. I don't notice any odor from the product, and 1 bag this size lasts like forever even if you clean the cage weekly. It's a great deal with no pine, paper only. I give it an A++++

Answer:	It doesn’t say anything on the package about using it for puppies (or not). I use it for my guinea pig and I really like it over the other types of bedding.

Answer:	Well if it’s for a hamster cage (should be more than 450sq inches) then you should only be removing 2/3 or half of it from the cage and spot cleaning the cage weekly will reduce the amount of bedding you have to throw away.

Answer:	This is from a website:We removed the baking soda from our odor stop formula used in pet bedding in January 2015. It was tested as safe but we removed it because our consumers asked us to. However, some packaging will still say baking soda on it because it took some time to get new bags and we did not want to delay product availability. To identify a bag without baking soda please check the lot number printed on the side of the bag. If the first set of numbers ends in a "5" then it does not contain baking soda. Answer:	it does both i use it for my rabbit and it helps with odor and i use it to clean as well.

Answer:	the box is actually smaller than I initially thought it’d be. My buns (Holland Lop, ~3.5 lbs~)prefers a nice big spacious potty box so we’ve been using a normal cat litter box. When I ordered this one, the caged top feature was nice, but my girl was too old to find interest in it and was too scared of the lining and didn’t enjoy standing on it. Even if I removed the cage top, if she got in it, her whole bottom basically got the entire box almost, and she didn’t care for it. The high walls are nice, if your buns is willing to put up with the caged top, and if they actually fit, or just prefer their bums to be in their potty boxes, it’s great. But if your bums likes to sit inside the box comfortably with room to spare, it’s not really ideal for any adult rabbit over 3 lbs

Answer:	Mine is not attached. It works fine. Every once in a while my rabbit gets rambunctious at night and the litter box has been pushed around but it’s no big deal

Question:	Can this product be used on a wood hutch
Answer:	Critter litter is the only litter I use. I used this potty litter for our hamster. The pellets are very small so I'm not sure how that will work. We have the corner litter boxes with the wire on top, and we tried cat litter because it was cheaper, but couldn't stand the smell. I really love this litter there is no smell. I use a newspaper sleeve to scoop it out every morning, then I spay the areas where I scooped with vinegar and water and wipe it. It's cheaper online than in the stores since you are getting an 8lb bag instead of a 4lb bag. Our bunny was 1 year old when we adopted him from the shelter (he's 3 now) and he came from a petting zoo, so I'm sure a litter box was foreign to him, but he has adapted well and only goes in his litter box. Definitely recommend. I would also recommend the Oxbow pellets, they are really high quality rabbit food. Also this is 16 oz. which being 1lb for $5, I get the 8lb bag for $11 something. I think critter litter is the way to go for a rabbit.
Question:	Can this be sprayed the the guinea pig blanket bedding
Answer:	No you can not. If you use it on your carpet They surly will pee on the carpet! This bedding is for cages and tanks thank you!

Answer:	We recommend reptile bedding for snakes.
Question:	Is it good to clean bird cages
Answer:	Yes. It can be used on rabbits and other small animal cages. I also use water to rinse it off of the cage so that the animals don't get poisoned by it, but I don't know if that is possible. I just do so to be on the safe side

Answer:	Yes it works great for Fancy Rats. Ours automatically went to their potty tray when I started using this litter. I can use a regular vacuum hand held hose and the poo flies up and the litter stays, so I change out the litter after about 10 days.
Question:	The brand I now use is compressed to 2 cu ft, expanding to 4 cu ft. Is this bag 8 cu ft that expands to 16cu ft, or is it uncompressed
Answer:	No! Not at all! That's insanely high!
Question:	what is the weight of the package of aspen shavings. There is some confusion regarding the cubic feet
Answer:	Yes, my girls were only 10 weeks old the first time I used this and they went to it immediately!! Great! Last for about 10 days or longer before changing and one bag lasted for over 2 months.
