Answer:	I can't give you professional advice, but the reason I purchased the orthotic (men's, long version) is because of inflamation on second tendon right behind ball of foot. Painful enough to not be able to put pressure on it in the mornings first thing out of bed. You need forward arch support. There are several arches on each foot, if you can believe that. Eventually the pain will subside. You can only use the orthotic an hour max, first day. Increase gradually over the next couple weeks each day. It will feel like standing on a tennis ball. Eventually this sensation will go away, trust me. Watch this video which will give you a lot of great product info. Answer:	A little thicker than hose but thinner than normal socks. More like a trouser sock. I find them too thick to wear with dress pumps.

Answer:	Well, it also depends on your calf size on what size you should get in these. I have decent size calves and also wear a size 9 shoe and I wear a size medium in these socks. Some pharmacies can measure you for more accurate sizing or you can also google how to measure it yourself.

Answer:	there is a sizing chart. small - shoe size 4-5 around ankle 7"-8", calf circum 10"-14"; medium shoe size 5-7, ankle circum 8"-9", calf circum 11"-15"; M/L, shoe size7-9, ankle 9"-10", calf 15"-16"; large ,shoe size 8-10, ankle 9"-11", calf 12"-17", x large, shoe size 11-12, ankle 11"-12", calf 13"-18'. However , I was very disappointed with this product. It did not come all the way to my knee and the band at the top was thin so it rolls down and forms a thick elastic band half way down the calf. Answer:	I'm not sure this will help, but I wear a 8 1/2 wide in a flat shoe. My calf measures 15 1/2 inches, without the stocking. I love the way they fit, and they wash and dry (no dryer) beautifully.

Answer:	I’ve tried a lot of compression socks. I’ve found that the Jobs brand are the best. 8-15. They have robbed or plain. Ribbed are nice. But they are all good. Size depends on you. They do stretch. If you have skinny legs get small. If you have meaty calves and ankles get medium. If you have large thighs and ankles get Large. Don’t get too big. They won’t help you. Too tight and they will Hurt. I got large. I’m about 220. They’re perfect. Get the Jobst.
