How to attach double-sided 3M adhesive:

1. Lie heat pad on flat surface.

2. Turn on the heat pad

Answer:	I use this for my lepard Geckos. It does get hot but I purchased a plug in to regulate the temperature for them so I don't have any issues with it. The pad heater plugs into the power strip for the thermometer gage and you just set the temp as needed. Hope this helps!!

Answer:	With the wattage and amperage it says it can supply it should easily be able to handle 2 lamps. Just run a strip off the plug and only have them 2 lamps controlled by the thermostat. AGAIN, as long as it will handle what they say it can handle. A 100watt bulb should only pull just under 1 amp.

Answer:	Yes but I highly wouldn’t recommend it for a water aquarium, because the glass will heat up and break

You will probably need to get at least one ceramic heat emitter (and a thermostat) for 24hr heat control, and, as stated, a basking UV heat bulb for the day time. A Kane heat pad may work as well, but you have to have a thermostat for that too so you don't cook your tortoise.

Answer:	They sell different sizes, each a different wattage. It’s impirtant to buy based on the size of your tank, for example I bought the 8x18” because I’m heating a 40 gal tank with it.

Answer:	The one i bought doesnt seem to get hot enough for me to worry about any risk of burn but you will need to somehow tape it to the bottom pf the tank because the adhesive is weak when it heats up and it will fall off. I used metal HVAC tape to keep it under the tank.

Question:	Is the mat flexible at all, can it be bent slightly
Answer:	It is a bit flexible, but I don't think the sticky back will hold for very long if it has any kind of bend to it. So if you're planning on using the sticky on a curve, I don't think it will hold for very long. If you just want to put it on a slight curve and not stick it down, it might be o.k. I'm pretty sure it says it is supposed to be used flat though. If you're thinking to bend it slightly to get it inside of a cage, these don't go on the bottom inside cages. Outside of the bottom only. Wall heating is fine though. They do work fantastic too!! Very happy with mine!!
Question:	Does the temperature controller come with the heat mat
Answer:	No, the pad delivers a preset amount of heat - all or nothing - when plugged in. I have a 60 gallon terrarium and I apply a variety of sizes of heaters, then adjust the heat by adding and removing power as needed. Hope this helps.
Question:	Should there be a thin spacer under 4 corners of tank? So tank edge doesn't pinch the pads electric cord
Answer:	There should be some rubber spacers on each corner of the terrarium, not just for the cord, but also so the glass doesn’t overheat and possibly crack or even burn your animal. You need airflow to keep the temp stable. And one of my heat pads, it didn’t come with spacers. So I just went to Home Depot to pick some up for like three bucks.
Question:	I place my heat mat on a side of the tank, but it seems to not reach the desired temperature I need. The max temp is 70 degrees
Answer:	I'm not sure why you have this problem. Maybe you aren't using a thermostat or your specific item was damaged in shipping somehow? Mine reaches 95 with no problem.

Question:	Where is the temperature sensor located
Answer:	This doesn’t really have a temperature sensor. It has one dial that turns the heat on and from low to high however no gauge or markings of any kind to state temperature or how low or high the heat is. Just a dial with no markings.
Question:	Could it be used for a newly hatched chicken
Answer:	No. What you need is a brooder along with the proper light. Local feed stores that sell livestock items should carry it. Newly hatched chicks need to get in and out of the heat if they desire. I raised many chickens years ago (250 at a time) and never used a heating pad. I honestly do not think it would be beneficial for the babies. Hope this helps.
Question:	Can this be put under reptile carpet or other substrates
Answer:	Yes, it is ok my friend. But you have to pay attention to this is not a completely waterproof pad.
Question:	how to you secure it to the outside bottom of the tank
Answer:	You can use aluminum or HVAC tape to secure this heating pad on the outside bottom of the tank.

Answer:	Ours is a 34 gallon glass tank but it can be used for any size. The temperature module we installed in the wall and you control the heat. We attached ours to the outside bottom of the tank. We also cut a tank length board and covered that with foil tape. Set the board on the stand and then the tank on the board. Our python will stay primarily on the hot side( heat mat) and our tank stays at the perfect mix of hot side ( 90*. F ) and warm side ( 80*F) we keep a large bowl of water in which the heat mat helps with hunidity. The answer to your question is that it will work on any size Med to large tank.
