Answer:	This lamp will not work with all bulbs. Several things you need to do to determine compatibility: 1) Wattage. This lamp comes in 3 sizes. The maximum wattages are: 5.5" rated up to 75 watts 8.5" rated up to 150 watts 10" rated up to 250 watts 2) Bulb base. This lamp appears to have an E26 base. Most light bulbs in the US have an E26 base. 3) Bulb shape and size. This lamp is made for R and BR shape bulbs. For example, R20 bulbs will work with this lamp. The number after the R or BR is the maximum diameter of the bulb in eights of an inch. An R20 bulb is 20/8 or 2.5 inches. The sizes of this lamp (5.5", 8.5", 10") correspond to maximum supported bulb diameter. Therefore, an R20 bulb will work with all sizes of this lamp. An R50 bulb will work with some but not all sizes of this lamp. 4) Voltage. You don't really need to look at this. As the product images show, this lamp supports up to 250 V, which will work in pretty much any country (for household usage). You will still have to figure out if your bulb is compatible with your wall socket though.

Answer:	The heat from the bulbs could potentially shatter the glass of you placed this directly on it... but there are hooks on the top of the fixture so you could suspend the fixture above the glass so it's not touching it. You can buy a lamp stand to hang the fixture above your enclosure or make one yourself. Another idea would be to get a plant hanger/hook and attach that to your wall above your enclosure, then hang the light fixture from that. Hope this helps or at least gives you some ideas.

Answer:	Yes, it can be used in a small coop, that’s how I used it. I also had a temperature gauge to ensure the temperature was accurate, consistent and appropriate for the chicks during their growth process. I liked the ceramic heat lamp because it didn’t produce light at night time. I noticed the chicks slept through the night thoroughly, which I felt was really important. Our chicks are now at nine weeks, outside and doing really well. I may use the heat lamp again this winter in their outside coop if we get some severe cold. Hope this helps.

Make sure you know what temperatures your creature should be at and always remember they don’t have to be perfect. Reptiles especially can adapt to many environments so the best thing to do is make sure that you keep it consistent! Good luck, and provide the best home you possibly can for your creatures!!

Question:	Will this work for my outdoor sulcata tortoise? he has a rancho/hut usually use a red heat bulb
Answer:	I think it will. It emits infrared heat but from elements rather than a bulb. They come in several different sizes so, depending on how cold it gets in your area, you can use a high wattage or low wattage. I live in Colorado and use it in my chicken coop. I use the large one and it cranks out about the same amount of heat that the bulb does. The only glitch is you don't know if it's working or not but I have had mine for a couple years with no problems. Of course, I only use it in the winter but I used to go through several bulbs each winter.

Answer:	I just lay mine (I have two; one on each, diagonal end of the cage) on the top of the cage. Then I don't have to worry about my hedgie chewing on the electrical cords. I have thought about placing them under the canvas (the bottom) of the enclosure also. I know that my current readings are slightly warmer than the actual temp where the hegie is due to the fact that the probes are about 7-10 inches above him. These lamps/thermostats work so well. I'm very happy with them. (Note: The digital temp tends to run about 2 degrees cooler than the thermostat setting)

Answer:	Thermostats like this have a one time fuse to prevent overload. The thermostat will have a Max amp rating. For instance, I ran two heat mats on this just fine with a splitter but when I added my space heater it exceeded the max amo rating and broke the one time fuse. This fuse is not replaceable.

Answer:	Hedgehog need to be 72-80 that is what it is in my house. I would think these would do the trick if you keep your house at 68 or less. I used this for Organic Chickens. They have to have 8 hours of no light, however, that is when it is the coldest. These keep them warm and it is quiet time. I like these because they are not the HOT HOT that the red lights are. I would think that a hedgehog would not need that hot of a light. If so the 150 Watt or LESS would probably do it. Call your VET. If it got too hot I would hope you would have a place where the hedgehog could go to cool off. Make sure that the light is far above him/her. I am thinking she is in the house?

Answer:	The filament providing heat is completely encased in ceramic. If the filament breaks it just stops working, there would be no bang.
Question:	How long does this build last for and is the thermometer good
Answer:	I've only had the bulb a few months, but I like it a lot. Not sure how long it will last. The thermometer is great though!

Answer:	You just contact Zacro and tell them what the problem is. We had a problem with the heat pad unsticking from the bottom of the tank so they sent us a new one. I just had to show proof of purchase.
Question:	would this be usefull in a outdoor storage room to prevent frozen pipes. Tempature in the single didgets
Answer:	I would say no. This lamp is suitable to warm small habitats for chicks reptiles and such. I do not believe it would be able to warm a small room at all. I would get a space heater with a thermostat for that

Answer:	I use a stand. You do not have to if you have a screen on top
Question:	Have a leopard gecko in a 10 gallon tank would 50 watts be to much
Answer:	It shouldn't be. I used mine with a 10 gallon tank before I upgraded to a 20 gallon. Just make sure to keep an eye on the floor temp with an infrared heat gun.
