Answer:	More bluish than warm yellow. Having said that, color can be a little subjective, but these are very “cool”.

Answer:	The tightening assembly is indeed poorly designed as several reviewers mention. That said, if one tightens the knob hard enough the head will stay in place. Who knows how long this will work with such a cheap tightening solution? Shame cause the rest of the lamp is fine IMHO. I will be returning mine strictly because of this.
