Answer:	This is probably to long of a cable for that size of tank. I use a 14 foot cable as a under tank heater on a 20 gallon long and it will cover 1/3 of the tank floor, so for your size tank id probably use a cable in the 30 to 50 foot range or 2 14 foot ones. Dont forget to use a thermostat with these cables, they dont get super hot but can get hot enought to crack glass if you dont use a thermostat (about 120 degrees). I use these cables as a UTH for leopard geckos and a side tank heater for my tarantulas and they work extremly well.

Answer:	I have this for an amazon tree boa, it is wrapped around vines in the habitat. My snake will not lay on it at all, and it comes unwrapped all the time. I think an under tank heat pad would work better for beardies

Answer:	Absolutely not. Bearded dragons cant feel heat from the underside and they will die if you put any type of heat from the bottom. You need a basking light and a tube uvb. In a 55 gallon you should have a 24" that is 8-10 inches away from the dragon. Basking spot should be around 104 degrees. You need nothing at night unless you room gets colder than about 73 degrees. At that point you would use a ceramic heat emitter that gives off no light. Never use any colored lights they damage their eyes. I suggest you get a temp gun the gages are sufficient and only measure ambient temps. Hope this helps.

Answer:	Sorry, don't have original packaging. I've used it for several years to heat my CPAP machine hose. It doesn't appear to be intended as a warmer for your fish, or outdoor serpentarium. I wouldn't leave it out in the weather, or exposed where your iguanas can chew on it.

Answer:	The heat from the bulbs could potentially shatter the glass of you placed this directly on it... but there are hooks on the top of the fixture so you could suspend the fixture above the glass so it's not touching it. You can buy a lamp stand to hang the fixture above your enclosure or make one yourself. Another idea would be to get a plant hanger/hook and attach that to your wall above your enclosure, then hang the light fixture from that. Hope this helps or at least gives you some ideas.

Answer:	I've left this on for weeks at a time. Almost going on a month. I use it for my Leopard geckos.

Answer:	It is not waterproof so i wouldn't suggest using it in the tank. Careful using it under though, it can warm up the glass and sand much warmer than it'll get the air, it may overheat the crabs unless the temperature probe is also under the tank.

Answer:	No. I use it for Kombucha. Wrap the mat around the container. the first one came with an insulator sheet too. Just put the sensor on the outside of the container and get a temp strip for the container that will tell what the temp is for control. Done this for over a year with another mat and had no issues. This one since it did not come with the insulator sheet I am putting a towel around it to help hold in and keep a consistent temp.

Answer:	With the wattage and amperage it says it can supply it should easily be able to handle 2 lamps. Just run a strip off the plug and only have them 2 lamps controlled by the thermostat. AGAIN, as long as it will handle what they say it can handle. A 100watt bulb should only pull just under 1 amp.

Question:	Why does this say it is 12 feet long when the heating element is only 6 feet long? Mileading
Answer:	Well I agree the packaging should be made to be more clear, however, it is necessary to have a lead of non-heated cable. It would be dangerous to have the heating element all the way to the wall plug or power strip. I need the blank space to run from the plug to where my tank heating requirements actually start. They do have several different lengths and combinations available. Hopefully you can find one that will suit your needs, they work so much better than heating pads :)

Answer:	It is waterproof - I have watered plants that are on it so I guess it will work - I am only a customer like you and do not know for sure

Answer:	I use mine to heat my 29 gallon reptile aquarium. Get the thermostat for it because these mats run at about 100 degrees without it.

Answer:	Yes. I currently have two mats. I use them for my leopard gecko tanks and have them connected to a single thermostat to keep it a certain temp. They run off the same thermostat and have been working great for months now :)

I think you can use the Heatit aluminum foil tape as high temp tape for wrapping HEATIT JHSD, JHSF, JHSF1, JHSF1-CT. For these cables they owned the out jacket as the insulation.
