Answer:	With the wattage and amperage it says it can supply it should easily be able to handle 2 lamps. Just run a strip off the plug and only have them 2 lamps controlled by the thermostat. AGAIN, as long as it will handle what they say it can handle. A 100watt bulb should only pull just under 1 amp.

I keep/breed ball pythons and the under tank heater was run through this rheostat. perhaps, it's a dud but, it has absolutely no range in temps. at it's lowest possible setting on the dial, it reaches 130.8*f. super overkill and im lucky i check thermometers as regularly as i do or i would have most certainly killed my snake. i decided to toss it and purchased a regulated thermostat instead for a couple bucks more. works like a charm.

Question:	Can I use this product for a dog heat mats (Kane poly heat mat)? Thanks
Answer:	I'm sure you can. I use mine for snake heat mats. Just make sure you put the probe in a place where the dog cant move it. I drilled a hole in the bottom of the enclosure and placed the probe inside, with the heat mat under the cage. The probe reads the surface temperature of the cage floor and not of the heat element. I have 3 of these thermostats and they all work really well for animal heating. They are often a few (+-4) degrees off though.

Answer:	Press and hold down the SET button for at least 3 to 6 seconds. The display will start to blink. Press the up and down buttons to increase or decrease the desired temperature. When you are through selecting the temperature, press and hold down the SET button for at least 2 seconds. I say 3 to 6 seconds because I count manually and I'm sure I am off a second or two. Hope this helps.
Question:	Can I plug 3 heating mats into a power strip and plug the power strip into the Digital Thermostat's AC output
Answer:	I currently have 2 heat mats plugged into a strip that in turn plugs into the Digital Thermostat. Been using this setup for 2 years, with no issues. I love it and believe that it would easily support 3 mats. Keep in mind that my mats and tray are all identical, since there is only 1 prob for the monitor.

Answer:	There is only one outlet on the thermostat. However, being that the thermostat is rated for 1000 watts, you can connect a power strip and connect multiple heating mats provided you do not exceed the units power rating. Just to be safe, I wouldn't plug in more than half the rated power (i.e. 500 watts). But for those 17 watt heating mats, that's a lot of mats!

Also, make sure the wire is taped to the side of his enclosure as tight as possible for the same reason. I use under the tank heaters for my pythons, so trun the probe down the outside of.his enclosure and put.the probe between the bottom of his tank and the heater so there's no chance that he could get wrapped up in the wire .

Answer:	No, there is no lighting on the display. However, it's very easy to read.

Answer:	Temp ranges from 10* F to 140* f. Mine registers right around 85*-95*f for my Green Iguana's pen. So far so good.. :) I do believe everyone needs a rheostat to keep the temps regulated. Just in case something malfunctions or maybe your air quits working and your house heats up more than normal.
Question:	can it be used on heat mats
Answer:	We use ours hot-melt glued to the bottom of the aquarium, above where the heat tape is secured under the aquarium bottom. Works fine.

Answer:	These have panel mount clips on the sides so they will snap into a rectangular opening nicely. The sensor openings would then be on the inside of the box and just the display and bezel on the outer surface.

Answer:	Depending on the size of the tank I I would say yes if its larger then a 50 gallon. If 50 50 gallon or smaller just put it in the middle.
Question:	I need a thermometer for my baby bearded dragon tank and I'm having trouble finding one that gives readings above 105. What is the top temperature
Answer:	The temperature gauge ranges from -20f to 120f. I find that the thermometer on this unit seems to be fairly accurate, but the hygrometer is questionable.
Question:	Do you need one for a veiled chameleon
Answer:	You need a thermometer + hygrometer due to their high humidity needs. They're awesome I also have one. The zoo med analog style(2) dial face does a great job.
Question:	Is there any way to set calibration
Answer:	I answered "no" until I figured out how to do it, duh. You pry off the clear lid at the ends and remove the paper with the coils on it. Turn the whole coil on the back to match another known, properly calibrated set of gauges. Set it down for 5 minutes, adjust again and again, if necessary, to get it perfectly calibrated to your other gauges. Then put it back together.

Question:	How difficult is it to wash enclosure with heat pad attached? I like to give it a good rinse inside and out
Answer:	Assuming that you have the uth heat pad attached to the outside of the enclosure, it's pretty easy to clean, what I do is I move my reptile to a temp enclosure ,unplug the uth heat pad , take a zip block bag and rubber band it around the unplugged plug . ,Rinse it on the opposite side of uth, swish-swash it around and dump out the same opposite end then take a papper towel and wipe the inside down, then take a damp paper towel and carefully wipe down the bottom being careful not to make water contact with the uth heat pad. Answer:	It will not melt the plastic if the thermostat is set correctly, but it will not stick very good/ at all to the plastic, it will eventually bow out from the adhesive failing.
