| Answer: | Essentially, any fixture that is rated for a 26W bulb. Since Cresties are nocturnal, the negligent amount of UVB would work just fine but if your also using a taller terrarium ( like a 18x18x24 ) and your getting these bulbs for live plants, you're gonna need 3-4 of them so plan on getting at least one - 2 bulb fixture and an extra single or two - 2 bulb fixtures. I have an 18x18x24 Exo Terra with RETF's and all live plants and use the "small" ( 2 bulb ) and the "mini" ( one bulb ) Exo Terra fixtures with 3 of these 26W bulbs and it takes every bit of that to keep the plants doing well... and even then, some of the lower ground plants ( mosses & ferns ) don't get enough light. 4 bulbs would be better , IMHO. |

From a popular website: Leopard Geckos are nocturnal, so avoid using bright white lights during the day, as they are stressful for your gecko. UV light isn't necessary, but it may be beneficial. If you do use it, use a UV light with a low UVB output. Red heat bulbs, black heat bulbs and ceramic heat lamps can be used during the day and night. |
