Answer:	I'd say so. You need opposable thumbs to remove the lid. I don't know how big your cat is but mine was not strong enough to push it over. Question:	When using this to clean debris off the bottom, and not doing a water change, where does the water come out that has gone through the filter
Answer:	The water cos out from the filter. Red area
Question:	No matter what position in which I hold it, or how clean/dirty the netting, the detritus pumps right back into the water. What could be wrong
Answer:	Nothing is wrong. The water returns to the tank trapping the particles in the white filter. Pumping water out of the tank requires you remove the filter and use the clear tube at the hole where the filter covered it.
Question:	Is the hose included? If not, qhat kind of hose does it need
Answer:	Yes a hose is needed. I don't know the correct size but I had one at bu ome that I managed to get it to fit by heating the end of the hose in hot water then pressing it onto the attachment. The size on the hose is 5/8 OD x 1/2 ID

Answer:	I didn't notice any type of odor when I opened the rocks, but my experience with using the rocks in my dwarf shrimp aquarium has been all positive. I rinsed them very well and placed them in my tank 3 days prior to introducing the shrimp into the tank. I feel that these rocks are a very nice, high quality aquarium substrate.
