Question:	Can I use this material (cut to size) to replace the motor filter in a older canister style Miele vacuum cleaner
Answer:	Having had tanks for many years I think it would be ok. There are two ways I have seen this type of filter used. One is in a filter that hangs on the side of the tank. I think it would work but I would still use charcoal in a bag also. My filters are a dual one with the filter like this and a bag with loose charcoal. This is more rare but I have seen this type of filter placed in the bottom and then covered with gravel. I think this isn’t a good use but that’s just me.

Answer:	yes charcoal / carbon is "carbonized" in high temperature before putting on the cloth.

Answer:	No, it's a carbon filter after a period of time the carbon soaks up all of the odors it can. You can vacuum the dust off of it. After a period of time it gets disposed of. The amount of time it will last is dependent on odors in the air if there are little to no smells it should last a while, I go about a month.

Answer:	They should last 6 months continuous use. They are carbon so all they are removing is odor. If you are a smoker then probably not as long, depending on your habit. I have pets and there is no problem with pet odors in the house anymore.

Answer:	No. Do not wash them. I use a shop vac with a HEPA filter and vacuum off the accumulated dust every 6-8 weeks. Then I replace the carbon filters every 6 months or so.

Question:	How strong of a fan do i need to pair with this? i bought a vivosun 4 inch 195 cfm inline fan and it isn't strong enough to pull air though it
Answer:	That is exactly the same set up I have and I had to buy a fan speed control switch to dial it back during the day. Sounds like you may have leaks or the duct work is not air tight. I taped all joints. I have my fan and filter mounted outside of the grow tent. maybe the fan is defective and not blowing correctly. I hope tgis info helps as I am very happy with the products

Answer:	One filter have Two Pre-filter in package，and now we have not sold separately ，but will come soon，also you can wash white pre-filters when pre-filter dirty
Question:	What’s the life expectancy if used 24hrs a day every day
Answer:	Relative humidity will play a role in longevity. Lets say you relative humidity is 50 and your temperature is 75F average. I would say about 6 months with some degradation. For example, if the filter was removing 80 -85% of the smell at day one, at the six month mark it would maybe be pulling out 50%. This filter is decent. Maybe on par with Vivo. I would spend extra and get the AC Infinity filters. They are closer to 90-95% of smell reduction from my experience.
Question:	would this work to vent a small resin printer
Answer:	If your small resin printer has a 4" exhaust that needs fumes or smells scrubbed by charcoal then probably yes. These were designed for growing plants with pungent odors.

Answer:	I would rate its opacity to approx. 70%-80% (when clean and new). Remember, this is designed to trap small dust particles. As it does its job, it will become more opaque as well as not pass air efficiently.
Question:	What is the CFM rating for the 6" fan and will be be sufficent enough for a 5x5x7 tent
Answer:	This filter helps to reduce odors.
Question:	What "flange" isn't included
Answer:	Because of the micron size of viruses, only very specific masks have any chance of filtering them out-and even those ones HAVE to be professionally fitted to have any efficacy (like the N95-which even when professionally fitted and used properly only stops 95% of virus micron size) and MUST be worn under very strict guidelines otherwise it offers no more virus protection than the cloth and surgical masks- which do not do not stop virus micron size from getting thru at all. To actually stop virus micron size you will either have to invest in a professionally fitted N95 and strictly follow the wearing protocol or to purchase a professionally rated respirator that guarantees to filter micron size of 0.01 or under (such as what virologists use in labs). Do not forget that viruses enter thru mucous membranes and so eye protection (such as goggles) will also be a MUST if you want to be truly protected from anything with a virus micron size.
