If I were to purchase another WaveMaker I would buy this brand if I could find one with higher gpm. As far as electric leakage, all my fish seem healthy. Firstly when you start to use the wave pump, please set the time on the controller to your local time.

Touch the "S" button to select the time setting mode or wave setting mode.

There is a pause button “F” on the controller, touch it to make the pump pause for 10 minutes, led display "F-10", touch it again to restart it.

How to set the wave mode?

Please select to wave setting mode

• Change the first digit to select the period of a day:1-dawn, 2-sunrise, 3-daytime, 4-sunset, 5-night
• Change second digit to set the working watts: 1-40%, 2-60%, 3-80%, 4-100%
• Change third digit to set the wave mode: 1-pulse wave, 2-sine wave, 3-constant speed wave, 4-random wave.
• Change fourth digit to set the wave speed: 8 speed settings, 1 to 8 is from fast to slow.

Please note that when you choose random wave mode, the second and fourth digit can't be changed, the wave speed and working watts are random.

The 8 small led lights upon the screen is to show the current working watts.

You can change the third digit of the 4 led digits from 1 to 4 to select wave modes.

Question:	Can this be used in a 35 gallon tank would the waves be too strong
Answer:	I use it in a 72" 125-gallon tank and it really moves the water along. I guess you just need to make sure the fish you have like a strong current. Its a great circulation pump for sure!
Question:	Would this be good for mixing saltwater
Answer:	I purchased this recently. I am mixing about 4.5 gallons of salt in a popular hardware store 5G bucket. I had been using a smaller wave pump to stir the water with a small heater inside as well and it took around 20-30 minutes for just the first 2 cups of salt (which mixes rather easily). When I needed it quicker I was using the a cheap variable speed drill with a silicone paint mixer but that gets tiring. I put this in same bucket, slid it down toward the bottom of bucket but not touching. Strong pump as you might imagine for a 5G bucket, but mixes my salt in about 10 minutes (4.5 cups of salt for my salinity level and mix). I would not suggest putting more than about 4.5 gallons in the bucket. With that much it is swirling to the top edge but not out of the bucket. I put grease marks inside my buckets at 8,9,10 inches from the bottom. 10 inches is as high as I would recommend. I use those to measure how much I put in and take out of the tank during a change. If you are mixing in a 35 gallon trash can, this should work great. Which is my plan in the near future. And for a reasonable price.

Answer:	You have to attach a line from an air pump to the top of the uplift tube (there's a place for that), so if you want bubbles, you'll need an air pump, too.
Question:	How many gph is the flow rate for both s and l sizes
Answer:	Small is rated as 80 gph, according to the small print on the pump on it. Based on use on a 29g tank, I suspect it's not actually that high.
Question:	Can I buy the sponge filters for replacement
Answer:	Yes apparently there are replacement filters available but the filter somes with two spares. Seems to me if you buy separate filters as a replacement you have to check carefully for the size of the hole where the sponge fits into.
Question:	Should I get the small or medium size for a 40 gallon tank
Answer:	I definitely would NOT go with the small for a 40g. I bought it for a 29g, but it's too low flow, wouldn't work for that by itself. I'd go no bigger than a 10g with it. I haven't looked at the gph rating on the medium size, but the small is only 80 gph rated. Not sure it actually does THAT high.

Answer:	I have one of the 530egg in a 55 gallon and that's about perfect. I have another in a 75 and it's slightly underpowered. For either 20 gallon, I'd probably go for at least one step down from this.

Answer:	The AQQA is durable and the magnet connection is a plus. I think the gpm is not that powerful. If I were to purchase another WaveMaker I would buy this brand if I could find one with higher gpm. As far as electric leakage, all my fish seem healthy. Other brands I have had, some fish get entangled in the cage and this so far have not had that issue.

Answer:	I use mine on a 20 gallon (long version) and it really moves the water. You can adjust the amount of water flow and also the amount of aeration. I also use the optional filters and it helps pickup more stuff that's floating around the aquarium.

Answer:	i have the AC 20 and the input is on the bottom and tapered and round starting at about 3/4" up to 1 1/2", the OUTPUT is SQUARE and there is an attachment for it to fan the water out evenly. the out put is about 3/8" square. maybe to 1/2"

Answer:	It is to pull in air and add air to your tank if you desire. The hose extends out of the water - it has a rubber end to keep anything but air from going down the tube.

Answer:	It's designed to be submerged. It may rely on the surrounding water to keep it cool. Unless you know for sure, I would not use it unless it's submerged. You could probably connect a hose to each end and just keep it submerged in a bucket
