Answer:	I doubt it. But you shouldn't have it where it can have a chance to fall into the water in the first place.

Answer:	Sadly there is no control on this cheapie....I tie knots on the line (1 to 2 or 3) here and there and just tighten them till it's bubbling the way I want it. Works just fine. It is quite strong for such a little pump, but a bit to much for my 2 gal Beta tank. So knots it is. Have a great day!

Answer:	Auto shutoff for what purpose? Two possibilities would be: A timer would switch it ff and on at prearranged times. For a malfunction due to no water going through, you will ideally want to power it through a ground fault interrupt circuit so in the event the water source accidentally runs dry the pump will not burn out.
Question:	What is the thread size that the outlet nozzles screw into? I want to screw a threaded pvc fitting into the pump and need the female thread size
Answer:	It is a 1/2" thread, not 3/4".

Answer:	for each elbow is 1ft head pressure. You want 10 times turn over unless you want to spend. a fortune on extra wave makers in the future. On average lets say a 50 gallon tank would have on average 3 elbows and 6-8 ft piping total so you would need a pump that does up to 1,000 gallons per hour because with head pressure, elbows and lets not forget the nozzle on the return all restricts. I have bought cheap pumps since I have been in the hobby and have saved thousands because I do not listen to hype and do my own research and speak from 34 years in the hobby. I have a gallery. 3 huge saltwater reef tanks and 24 freshwater. I gain nothing from giving you this advice other than sleeping well knowing you get the right GPH.

Answer:	I had it on a 60 gallon tall at about 33 percent and it was perfect. Cycling the tank around 7-8 times per hour. My Fish never seemed bother by it. To be honest though it does depend on what fish/corals you are keeping. Some like more flow then others.

Answer:	I placed two in my 32 gal Biocube, one on left/right of back wall, and that seems to provide good flow/turbulence for the entire tank

Answer:	The 425 may be too much for a 20 gallon long if you have small or immature fish. I had mature green rasboras and they were fine with the 425. However, when I bought some young green rasboras I turned the pump off because they were not strong enough to resist the flow from the 425.

Answer:	It's a 110 volt pump.

Question:	What size tubing can I put
Answer:	See where it says "also bought" 1/2" tubing? I'm not the brightest bulb when it comes to plumbing, so I "also bought" 1/2" and I'm going to have to "also buy" something else because it is exactly the outer diameter of the small nozzle and much too loose to stay on the large nozzle. Like trying to fit one nickel inside another one. The trouble with buying things like this sight-unseen. Half inch INNER diameter tubing (5/8" outer) would work on the small nozzle but restricts flow somewhat. The large nozzle is (about, I don't own calipers) 7/16". Something tells me the nozzles are actually metric while the tubing is inches.
Question:	How do I do water changes with this
Answer:	There is a dial on the side that helps adjust the water flow rate, so you can control how much bubbles you want to produce.
Question:	What is minimum flow rate? I want to use for a trickle waterfall in a vivarium
Answer:	I don't know what that rate would be. But let me tell you that I put this pump in my outdoor fountain and I had to close the valve as far as it would go without turning it off, to keep it from shooting up too high and strong. My fountain was pushing water up at least 18 inches before it comes out. So this pump may be just too strong if you want something to trickle. I had a little 200 gal flow pump that was a little too weak at full strength. So something like that might work better for you.
Question:	Can this pump be able to be used to drain a hot tub
Answer:	Turn your garden hose on, put it into the bottom of the hot tub. Walk to the faucet and unscrew the garden hose while the water is still turned on. Turn off the faucet. The flow will reverse and your hot tub will empty with just a garden hose.

Question:	would the 500 gph pump be good for my 25 gallon tank
Answer:	Yes a little Overkill but Mi but depending on how people want things to look nothing's over killing this world you could easily get away with a 300 gallon per hour and still have somewhat of a current in your 25 gallon tank. I think if you put this 500 GPH pump it might be a little too strong depending on where you're wanting to put this are you trying to put it at the top of the tank or the bottom or Middle? You don't want your fish blowing across your tank lol just want a nice life like current for them to swim into and out of..hope this helps. SO yes 500 gph is more then strong enough , which can work out because maybe you want a bigger tank and want to upgrade in the future which you won't have to buy a new or another circulation pump 500 gallon per hour can easily work with a 40 gallon tank please let me know if this helps

Answer:	if you have a power inverter I don't see why not . but they do not come with adapters. made only for 110 volt
Question:	If i buy aqueon circulation do I still need air pump
Answer:	Well it all depends on how you set up your tank. The idea behind a air pump is to break the surface tension of the water. This is how oxygen gets in the water. The bubbles from the air pump actually don't add oxygen to the water till they pop on the surface. So to answer your question directly. You don't need a air pump if you put the circulation jut under the surface of the water and aim it so you can see the water surface rippling a bit. One other thing if your using a hang on the back filter and not a canister filter you don't even need the circulation pump. The whole idea is to just keep the surface water moving.
Question:	Has anyone else had an issue with a fish getting sucked in through the intake slits? Had it happen a couple times to some green neon tetras
Answer:	I've had mine for a year in a saltwater tank...no issues. I've even have a snail that keeps the outside of the pump clean without getting hurt. If I had a fish commit fishycide, I would avoid that species in the future. Survival of the fittest/smartest.

Answer:	It depends how big of a water fall you’re looking for. The tube isn’t very big. It will definitely pump it up there (tube is about 2 feet), but not a significant “Waterfall” amount of water comes out. Unless you’re filling an area with water that will then fall, I’d go bigger. I use this filter to move about 2 gallons of water, and it’s no rapids.

Answer:	Suppose it's possible, as long as the side that water is drawn into is exposed and you have enough room in whatever the pump is in for the hose to snake up to the surface if that makes sense. It's a very powerful pump, so that's not going to be your issue.
