Question:	The instructions are bad. I would like to clean my sleeve as I've had it in use for like 6mths and algae is building up. Any tutorials or help
Answer:	Mike, I have cleaned the sleeve and it's not difficult at all. Just unplug the unit, unscrew the light from the unit and remove the light and sleeve. Make sure to be careful not to touch the light with your bare hands. Cotton gloves or a paper towel work well. Also if you decide to test the light while its not in the unit....it won't work. I made that mistake, ordered another bulb and then later retested the original bulb, but this time in the unit and it worked. There is some switch or connection that make the light not work unless it is screwed into the unit.Hope this helps.
Question:	can this b used on a pool to get rid of algae
Answer:	I guess it really depends on the size of the pool. My experience over the last month was with a 300 gallon pond that was completely green to the point where you could not even see the fish. After a week the water was noticeably clearer. By week 3 the water was (and has stayed) crystal clear. Assuming 3 weeks to make such a dramatic change in 300 gallons, you would have to do the math based on your pools volume to determine if it would be feasible. My initial answer would be that it probably isn't powerful enough to make the difference you are seeking.

Answer:	A couple of previous answers related to this question mentioned the possibility of excessive heat generated when it isn't in water. Since my interest is also in sanitizing items that are not in water, I was very curious about this potential heat issue. I placed my unit (using the enclosed suction cup clips) on the bottom of a breadbox with a shiney interior, which I'm planning to convert into a disinfection box. I then placed a couple of food temperature probes at the bottom of the breadbox and under the lamp's glass tube, which then resulted in the probes being about 5/8 of an inch below the glass tube (since the clips and suction cups raised the glass tube above the bottom surface). After closing the breadbox lid and turning on the lamp for about 1 hour 45 minutes, the temperature probes didn't get over 85 degrees F. After turning off the lamp, I could almost touch the tube without it burning, but I wouldn't want to try that again. In summary, the seller's response to this question seems to be good for correcting previous answers about excessive heat. So I purchased another lamp to get closer to completing my disinfectant box project, for a lamp on top and another lamp on the bottom. But I still need to find an inexpensive source for a quartz glass sheet to place above the lamp on the bottom, since quartz glass will maximize transmission of UV wavelengths (an issue with regular glass)

It is best to install this light in the filter system of the fish tank or pond. It can't be put directly into the fish living area, otherwise the rays will kill the fish.

Tips for LED Light

• 1.Please make sure the sealing ring is undamaged, and properly stay in the groove.
• 2.Please twist the light until it can not be twisted any further, to make it fully waterproof before putting underwater.( Very Important!!! otherwise it will leak)
• 3.Please dry the lights first before replacing batteries. Because the water outside lights may drop into lights and keep inside the battery case, it will damage the components, and defeat the lights.
• 4.For long time use, we recommend to use rechargeable battery to save batteries and money, recommend brand "Energizer" or "Eneloop",don’t use the brand "Tenergy".
• 5.Because some rechargeable batteries are a little bit big to insert into the battery case, so it doesn't connect properly, the light will not light up. If the lights don't light up once you insert all 3 batteries, please move the battery to make them connect properly.
• 6.It’s better not use in hot water, because the vapour may go into the light, it will damage the components and lead to stop working.
• 7.If you don’t use for following long time, pleae remove batteries, it will help save power and protect led bulb.

Tips for RF Remote Control

• 1.Please remove the plastic insulating film on the bottom of remote before using it.
• 2.Please long press the button "ON" on the remote for about 2 second to activate all the lights. After turning on, no need to long press, the light will be very sensitive to react what you set.
• 3.For underwater using, please keep the remote within 10FT/3M-16.4FT/5M, because water will largely absorb signal, and weaken the signal to the lights.
• 4.In air, the remote range can reach 164FT/50M and more.
• 5.Low Battery Checking: Press the button "B", if it's no or very weak light, it means low battery, lease replace new batteries.Low power will weaken the sensitivity of remote.
• 6.Out of Power Checking: When the light stays in flashing red light, cannot control by other setting, it means it will be out of power soon, please replace new batteries.
• 7.Check the Remote Battery: When press the remote, you can see the red light on, if cannot see, it mean the remote is out of power, or it doesn't work, please remove the plastic film or replace new batteries.

Tips for Suction Cups (2nd generation)

• 1.Suction cup can be used in both air and underwater on flat and smooth surfaces. But not work on rough surface.
• 2.Please clean the surface before attaching, make sure there is not any stuff between the surface and suction cup, especially remember to remove the lubricant like shower cream, moss etc. ( very Important!!!)
• 3.Please pull the suction cups vertically if you want to remove them, don't pull it horizontally, it may pull out from the hole, there is the feature of design, it's not suction cup problem. Please note, and use it in correct way.
• 4.We already enlarged the suction cup to bigger size and tighter adsorptivity, it's competent to hold lights under 10-16.4ft/3-5m underwater.

Tips for Magnet

• 1.LOFTEK magnet can work for any iron place which can be attracted by magnet, especially rough vertical surface, but not for smooth vertical surface, please use suction cup instead.
• 2.The magnet is strong, but it's better to apply on pure iron surface, alloy may reduce the absorb effect.
• 3.This is all magnet feature, not our magnet's problem, not matter how big is the magnet, they have the same advantage and disadvantage, if you cannot attach by magnet, please try other way.

Instructions:



- The Oxyful ultraviolet clarifier can be installed vertically or horizontally. The best place to install your UV clarifier is AFTER the filter.

- If it is necessary to install the clarifier before the filter, adequate pre-filtration should be used to prevent the quartz sleeve from breaking from debris.

- The rubber ring will go in between the inlet/outlet, while screwing the nut on top to tighten the seal.

- On/Off is managed through the plug it is connected to.

Question:	I purchase the product and instruction doesn't say which is inlet and which is the outlet. Anyone knows
Answer:	Near the top of the unit there are two arrows that are molded into the unit each arrow represents the flow of water which the arrows will be indicating the flow is to the middle of the unit, at the bottom end of The unit where the electrical cord is located there is another arrow indicating the flow which is outward that is your return water to the aquariumthe arrows at the top are your arrows indicating flow into the unit that is where you want to put your pump .
Question:	How many gph should I run through it for my 200 gallon aquarium
Answer:	125 gallons is a good rate.
Question:	Will it work on a 125 gal tank
Answer:	Yes this will work, but a smaller wattage one would work, I'm using it on my 7000 gallon pond, works great
