Answer:	Yes. I use this for my CST in a 55 gallon tank. This is a great filter. Remember, it is more about the media you use than the filter alone. Experiment with media to see what works best for you. For my turtle, I have found that layering sponges in the bottom tray from coarse, medium to fine and then using Matrix bio media in the next 2 trays and then using carbon and an ammonia neutralizing carbon in the last two trays works wonders. It really keeps my turtle tank clean. This filter is easy to use, prime and clean. Plus it is very affordable. All canister filters are basically equal, the media is what really matters.

Answer:	Hi, according to the manufacturer, this features a "Hang on Filter for Aquariums up to 55 Gallons," for both Freshwater or Saltwater tanks, and has a 3-year warranty. As for the matrix/filter system, this should be plenty to last you a while. The tidal filter has great reviews and we have heard great things about it!
Question:	I have a 20 gal high. the product dimensions say 15 X 6 X 15. a 20 gal high is about 17 inches high so will this filter be too big
Answer:	i think those are the box dimensions. the 55 measures 8 inches wide, 6 inches deep from the water output in the front to the back of the filter and even with the intake tube fully extended it measures 12 inches from bottom of intake tube to top of the glass where the filter sits. it can be adjusted a little shorter still. its a great filter and doubling up on filter size is always a good idea. the tidal series does have a very functional water flow adjustment, unlike its main competitor the aquaclear 50. the aquaclear boasts flow control, but there is only a marginal difference when adjusted. the tidals flow control will adjust from wide open to a pretty low flow. the only situation i think this wouldnt be the best choice for a 20 gallon is if you intend to house very weak swimmers like betta fish. for just about any other stock i would recommend this filter with no hesitation. ive had mine for nearly two years since it first came to market and its worked flawlessly. nice and quiet, very functional.

Answer:	It can be used as main filter, but you can’t overfilter a tank. I recommend HOB filters as well as canister filter for heavily populated tanks. Canister is more for fish that don’t mind a strong current. Bettas and angels hate canister if flow is too much.!
