Ours is freshwater and we have a lot of plants, which appear to be thriving since adding this lighting system. The “night light” on it looks like a regular black light and gives a lovely glow to aquarium and fish. But I don’t see blue (or violet) in the description. I see on the light itself white, blue, red and green lights. I don’t know why they don’t mention the blue light specifically in the description. The blue light stays on for the “night mode” and the others go off. All of the lights are on in “day light” mode. We set ours up to mimic nature as much as possible so the night mode is used to transition from day to complete darkness. I had it running for longer initially cause we enjoyed the night mode but too much of it seemed to aggravate the fish. Now they seem to like it as much as we do. They certainly appear healthier. I would imagine if it’s good for growing plants it’d be good for growing coral, too, but I honestly don’t know. Hope you are able to get the answers you need to set up a thriving tank. =)

The Default Setting:

Answer:	This light not only can be changed colors by using the remote, but also can be changed by pressing the buttons on the cord. Long press (5s) to turn off/on light, short press to change color.
Question:	So i got this light today and i turned it on. Remote only does red. Ive changed battery snd still only does red. Answers
Answer:	If you have tried clicking a different button and that didn't work only thing I could suggest is try changing battery in it. Also try clicking button on plug in close to light to see if changes so you know if light or remote. Then contact seller if needed. Sorry can't help more.

Answer:	This RGB LED aquarium light with 1A US adaptor, only for US. If you have 1A uk plug adaptor, this light will work.
