Answer:	I think ferrets can eat chicken, but if in doubt check with your vet. This is simply freeze dried chicken so I feel good giving it to my two Mini Schnauzers. It crumbles if you won't want to give the whole piece. I break a few up on my "boys" food and they love it. We keep this product stocked all the time. Our "boys" love it and I feel good about the eating it.
Question:	Is there any reason I can't give these to my cats if I break the pieces into smaller ones? thanks
Answer:	Definitely perfectly fine for cats. My kittens, as others have said, love this treat. I don't break it into smaller pieces though as our vet said kitties' canine teeth are specifically used for ripping/shredding prey and it's good for them to do. One gets "growly" while eating, meaning he growls in low tones indicating it's HIS prey and he loves it which makes me very happy. Oftentimes he'll bat it around before devouring.

Answer:	I'm going to guess that there might be 100-150 maybe? They are bigger than I want them to be as I use them primarily for training my dog so I end up easily breaking them into 3-4 smaller pieces. My mini Bernedoodle loves them! My definition is crunchy, not so much "hard". Freeze dried anything is not going to be soft. I ordered the slabs once, and easily cut them up with giant scissors I have for such projects. Pruning sheers would cut easily too.

Answer:	If properly closed and kept in a cool environment away from direct sunlight it can last up to 12 months. If it is not closed for long stretch under a month, because freeze dried treats will absorb from their surrounding environmental condition...it doesn't last 12 months with how much our dog loves these treats!!

Answer:	There is a best by date on each bag, so it depends on which batch it is. We are shipping late 2020 and early 2021 bags at this time. 2-25-20

Answer:	All of the Vital Essentials entrees for both dogs and cats contain natural taurine; the beef mini nibs specifically contain 0.22% taurine.
Question:	About how many scoops per 1 lb bag
Answer:	There are approx. 8-9 cups of food in the 1 pound bag.
Question:	What's the difference between the vital essentials duck mini nibs dog food and the freeze dried duck treats
Answer:	I can only answer as to what the vital essentials duck mini nibs actually are, as I haven't used the freeze dried duck treats. The mini nibs are small Vital Essentials freeze dried raw treats. I usually break them up even smaller to use as training motivators for my raw fed ACD. Have fed Vital Essentials for years now---trust their quality. Check out their website for more information.

Question:	Does it have a strong smell? Also, is it soft or crunchy? I'm looking for a soft treat for training my dog. Thank you
Answer:	They do not have a strong smell. They are freeze dried raw meat though so it recommends washing your hands after handling them which I did not noticed immediately. They are not crunchy or hard, but are not soft per se. They are good for training treats because they vary in sizes from extra small to small, but they are high in protein and therefore fat, so I would switch between this and other leaner treats each day. My dog is very picky as a Yorkie but loves these, the lamb, and turkey by sojos.
Question:	Are these a particular part of the lamb - lung, liver, or muscle meat
Answer:	I get the freeze dried turkey - under ingredients it lists turkey- not sure what parts?
Question:	Can i give these to my cat
Answer:	Yes but only as a snack/treat. It is not meant to replace regular food for dogs, cats, ferrets or other pets. Some of the pieces are bigger so you might need to break them up some for your kitty or crumble a piece on top of their food. Since they are dry it is very important to ensure there is fresh water available at all times for your kitties to drink.

Answer:	I couldn't find on the Sojos site where their meat comes from but it does specifically state that absolutely none of their ingredients come from China.

Question:	Are these good for a beagle
Answer:	VitalEssentials freeze dried Minnos are good for any dog. There are no restrictions for any breed.
Question:	These are much less expensive than the same brand for cats. Are they the same? Cat loved cat ones, but are these better price same thing
Answer:	They seem to be exactly the same. However, I have never purchased the cat ones. These ones seem waaay too small for dogs- less than one bite. So, I am not sure why they are sold as dog treat. I bought mine for my cat, who loves them. My dog does too (for what it is worth)

Answer:	Both. There are pieces that will be able to hold up in your pocket and some that do crumble. Usually with the ones that crumble, I break them into my hand when I give my pup medication.

Question:	Are these jerky texture or harder? My daughter has to break them real little for her service dog
Answer:	They don't have a jerky texture at all. They do break easily in my opinion. About the same as breaking a piece of chalk. I break them myself usually since we recently began cutting back on our dogs calorie intake.

In our refrigerated kitchen, RAW human grade beef liver is cut into our dog treats. Still frozen, our beef liver is placed into our freeze drying chamber.

Answer:	Not sure. All I know is that my cat who LOVES freeze dried chicken, did not eat one chunk of this. I’m back to buying PureBites.

Answer:	Yes, these treats are made in China. That being said, all our products originate from premium, natural ingredients like chicken, duck and ocean whitefish. Answer:	Huh, good question. I buy all of her freeze dried and raw, this one does not say it, but I would guess it is. My dog is just okay with it, eats it sometimes, totally flavorless and boring.
Question:	How much is in the bag? Says 20 ounces, does not look like a 20 ounce bag. It also nutrition of 20ounces? Misleading
Answer:	It is a large bag and does include all 20 ounces. There is also a lot of crushed ones at bottom of bag-guesstimate-maybe 1/4 of bag. (shipping probably does that) I mix the crushed dust with water and the dogs love that too. Cats and dogs love these, and can be used for training also.
