Question:	What contacts should I order for a german shepherd? To penetrate the long hair
Answer:	Looks like K9 400 collar might be the best. I have a boxer with short hair so the contacts that came with the mini educator were fine. I think if you have the right fit, it would work as well. Burrow it down to the skin level, obviously not too tight. The K9 400 model is for training tactical dogs like German Shepherds
Question:	Will the ET-302TS work well for bigger dogs around 50-60 pounds
Answer:	Yes! My dog is around 25 lbs and I cut about 10 inches off of the adjustable collar-almost enough to make another collar. I have only had to use the correction levels up to 26, so there are plenty of levels higher for those bigger or more stubborn dogs. I've been working with a dog trainer to help me give the correction at the right time and used a leash for the first 3 weeks. Using the leash helped me guide my dog into the preferred behavior immediately after the correction so she was not confused as to why she was just corrected. It has completely transformed my dog's behavior and I'm very pleased with the product. If this is your fist electronic collar please make sure you get some tips or work with a trainer. If you do not guide your dog into the behavior you want you will get a very anxious dog afraid to move or do anything. That was my only complaint with this product-in needed some tips for newbies like me. You will love your "new" dog!

Answer:	The answer to that depends specifically on your dog and the training you've done.I have a scent/sight hound and I would never trust him without any tools. He can tell when he has on a shock collar vs a buckle collar vs a choke chain vs a martingale collar. He listens perfectly off leash with this ecollar (I only have to use the vibrate function to remind him sometimes) but I know that if I put him out with a different style of collar and no leash that he would not listen nearly as well (and he might run off into a potentially dangerous situation).

Restart, press and hold the On/Off Button until the green and red LED flashing alternately. This continues for 30 seconds, within which pairing should be completed. 2. Press and hold the Tone and Vibra buttons on the remote at the same time until the green LED light on the receiver flashes rapidly 5 times, indicating pairing is completed."
Question:	Does the 16 shock levels compare with devices that have 120+ levels? Dog's trainer recommending a device that is $234! but lots more neg feedback
Answer:	This collar is all you need for training your dog. I do not use the shock mode unless it is absolutely necessary. I have a Belgium Malinois, very active, and he is being trained mostly with the vibration mode. I get his attention at 1st with the beep tone, if he doesn’t listen, then I go to the vibration mode. I had to use the shock mode a few times at the beginning, but now he knows what comes next after the vibration. The battery stays charge for about 2 weeks, takes 4 hours to re-charge. It is water proof, good thing because my dog loves to jump in the pond, every day! So far, so good, good training tool. Recommend that patience is utilized when training your dog with collar, don’t use the shock mode, unless necessary. I kept the shock level at 12, try the collar on your arm at level 2 before putting on your dog, will make you think twice about putting the level to high for your dog, Love your dog, don’t abuse your doggy!

Question:	Will the remote turn it on after sleep mode or does it have to be paired again? or can I leave it on for hours & can catch my dog misbehaving randomly
Answer:	In my experience, when the collar sleeps nothing will wake it up except motion from the dog or me physically shaking it. I hate that feature. The manufacturer told me that the remote will not wake it up when I called them. I also tried the mode button idea...and every button on the remote for that matter...no dice. I even tried old Nintendo cheat code button combinations for kicks...no luck.
Question:	Honest only is the shock equiv to a shock fr a tazer? And would u put on and take full shock? I dont eant 2 hurt
Answer:	I put it against my leg at 20 and could definitely feel it. I tried it on my neck at 10 and could feel the muscles in my neck and face contract strongly. I would recommend doing this before using on your pet so you know what they are going through and don't raise the shock any more than is needed. Shocks might also not help depending on what you are trying to train, also consider the beep as a way to positively reward a dog (i.e. get them to return to you from a distance)
