Answer:	Hi there John, the large white unit is the transmitter. The wires in the ground connects to this and it controls the signal. The smaller unit is a lightening protector that reduces the risk of power surges.

Answer:	Hi there, for 2 acres of property you will need a minimum of 1,200 feet of wire. It will probably be best to have a total of 3 spools of wire (500 ft. each) so that you don't run out as the layout may call for extra.

Answer:	This system includes 500 feet of 20 gauge wire. However, I did a good deal of research before purchasing this system and I found that this is was not going to be enough for my yard and more importantly, this 20 gauge is a very light weight wire and many people had to replace it after just two years. As a result, I did use this system, but I did not use the cheap wire that came with it. I, instead, went to FlexPetz.com and used their "Heavy Duty 16-Gauge Dog Fence Wire (1000 ft)". The SKU number was HD-16AWG-1000. It cost me $117.95 and the shipping was free. They also have a good selection of various lengths if you do not need 1000 feet. I finished installing my fence myself two weeks ago and it is working great. I have no complaints and I feel confident knowing that I will not need to replace the wire anytime soon.

This system collar receiver is for dogs 35 lbs. or less and we recommend contacting us with and questions or to increase your wire gauge. Answer:	Hi Eric,You must create a complete loop with the wire so no, you can't have a break. It sounds like you are trying to create a containment zone just in the back yard, you will have to run the wire around the front of the house or you need to run the wire up the side of the house and across the eve or gutter and then down the other side. Answer:	I charged mine about once per month. I would not recommend these though. I have two dogs, each with a collar. They have worked good, but have had to replace both in less than 1 year of use.

The distance from the wire that the receiver collar will begin to activate is fully adjustable using a Boundary Width Dial on the transmitter unit. You can get it as close as a foot or two or as far away as 8-12' away depending on environmental factors.

Once the pup learns that they can run through it is hard to re-condition them to stay in the yard, however, we may be able to come up with some solutions based on settings or training. Question:	We only want to secure one side of our property. Do we have to make a loop with the fence
Answer:	We have it under our inflatable hot tub and it definitely adds some padding. I’m not sure about keeping heat in because the hot tub came with a bubble wrap style round mat also. Ours is on concrete and we’re able to maintain the heat with no issues, I’m not sure if the mat makes any difference with temp. Happy we bought this though.

The fence transmitter is the brain of your eXtreme Dog Fence. You not only set your signal field width here (which is the distance from the wire that the collar will activate), but you also program your collar's correction level here.

You can also change AM radio frequencies here, if you have a neighboring fence system that is causing interference with your fence.

The transmitter should be mounted indoors, so as to avoid any moisture getting into the electronics, and at least 3' away from any large metal objects.

Waterproof "Active" Collar

Receiver Dimensions: 1" high x 2" wide x 1" deep

Strap Dimensions: 3/4" wide (fits necks from 10" to 30")

Contact Probe Dimensions: small = 5/8", large = 7/8"

The "Active" collar is waterproof and submersible to 10 feet, with no impact on the receiver's performance.

It includes a long set of contact probes for dogs with long neck hair, and a short set for dogs with shorter hair. A set of metal infused rubber comfort covers are included to help keep the contact probes comfortable on your dog's neck.

The receiver weighs a mere 1.1 ounce and runs on a proprietary 6v battery, which lasts an average of 4 months (after the battery used during the training period).

The collar receiver has 7 correction levels (1-7) and a beep only level , to accommodate a wide range of dog sizes, breeds, personalities and temperaments.

20 AWG Boundary Wire

Specs: 20 gauge, solid copper core wire

This lightweight wire is easy to work with and is a good entry level wire to use on your eXtreme Dog Fence. The lifespan is usually between 2-5 years as long as you install as directed:

Burial: You can bury the wire from 1" to 3" deep

Above Ground: Above ground installation is not recommended with 20 gauge wire

Existing Fence: Attaching to an existing fence is not recommended with 20 gauge wire

Waterfront: Wire can be submerged in water, but a protective conduit like PVC or garden hose is recommended
